She was so kind, patient, and genuinely understanding of how anxious I felt. Her reassurance is the reason I was even able to make my first appointment. I can’t thank Poppy, Sophie, and all the dental nurses enough. They have all made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease — and even laugh! Their professionalism and support made me realise I had nothing to be nervous about after all. Every treatment I’ve had has been comfortable and completely pain-free. Highly recommended! Always hated the dentist and get really anxious about it but Poppy really tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible, thoroughly explained everything, did an extraction pain free and i even got a follow up call from the receptionist the next day, to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely be using this dentist again

I have been attending this clinic for a few months now. I've needed to have quite a lot of work done. Including extractions, a crown and some dentures to be fitted in a few weeks. All of which has been completed by Poppy. My fear prior to attending was quite high due to previous bad experiences. But due to Poppy and the rest of the team my faith has been restored. I began my journey with Advance Dental Care around 2 & 1/2 years ago. At that point, my teeth had become misaligned, I had signs of gum disease and I had been badly advised by a previous dentist about how to treat that, leaving my teeth blackened and stained. I was becoming self conscious of the poor state of my teeth and as a result, had started to stifle a smile or cover my mouth when talking. From the outset, the team at Advanced were honest with me. They set out the steps that would be required to get my teeth back to good order and provided assurance that they were there to help. So began a steady process of work. For the first 12 month this comprised the hygienist getting my teeth and gums back to good order - regular appointments supported by good daily habits. Once my gums were stable, stage 2 involved a 12 month programme of realignment using Invisalign. Stage 3 involved a short period of whitening to get my teeth to a natural shade. The final stage of the process was to have porcelain veneers for some of my front upper and lower teeth - partly to address some small refinements after the Invisalign work but more importantly to protect my teeth for the long term. The result after 2 1/2 years is that I now have a confident smile and comfort that my teeth and gums are in a healthy place for years to come. The team at Advanced have been great throughout. I have felt informed and supported with the key decisions. The treatments themselves have been comfortable and pain free. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If I was starting the journey again, I would still chose to put my trust in the team at Advanced Dental Care.

I have been a patient at this surgery for over 30 years and am very happy with the treatment I receive. Lewis is excellent and just wants to do everything possible to enable people to be happy with their teeth. He explains things thoroughly and there is no pressure to make an instant decision. I see Sophie, the Hygienist every three months and she does an excellent job of cleaning my teeth clean. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t be happier.

If you are from the Wakefield area or even if you are not, if you are looking for a world class dentist with a passion for customer needs, then take a few minutes to read this review. I met Dr Lewis Butler for the first time back in late 2023 after making an online inquiry, which is when my journey with Advance Dental Care began. Having had pretty negative experiences with both NHS and private dentists in the past and a general fear of dental work, especially oral needles, I saw Lewis for the first time and instantly knew that I could put trust in his expertise and experience. A passionate and talented dentist, who puts customers needs before anything else and made me feel at ease throughout my journey with them, not just during treatment but now providing excellent, long term aftercare. After having some general work done, Lewis educated me on the poor overall condition of my teeth and mouth as a whole and gave me some long term options for treatment, all of which were expensive (as you can imagine for any major dental work via a private dentist). I opted for complete mouth rehabilitation, the most expensive and arduous of the options available to me. I put full faith in Lewis and Advance Dental Care and saw this as a long term investment in my oral health. Treatments began in January 2025 and all work is now completed and I could not be happier with the final results and the care I've been shown along the way. Lewis and his talented team at Advance Dental Care have been amazing. Lewis has been available to me at all hours of the day, even if just for advice or peace of mind regarding my teeth. When I had temporary teeth in during the treatment process, when any issues did arise they were dealt with extremely quickly and I constantly felt like everyone involved couldn't do enough for me. All staff members I have dealt with at any point throughout my journey have been professional and have genuinely felt valued as a customer and that my needs are put first. Shout outs to Donna (Dental Nurse) who was nothing but pleasant during all my appointments and Lauren on front-of-house, always checked in with me after my treatments and had great communications via email for the most part, which was always best for me with my busy schedule. These small details go a long way. Thank you to Lewis and the team at Advanced Dental Care, you've restored my smile and my faith in dentists as a whole. Hopefully you won't see me too much now going forwards but I certainly will be back and wouldn't hesitate in recommending you to anyone.
