Horrible dentist. First day I signed up I got spoken to like rubbish. They refused to remove my wisdom teeth for no reason btw & I had to travel 90 minutes to get the treatment done. The staff here are so unprofessional. This dentist has turned me away from UK dentists forever & I will be telling everyone to avoid. EDIT: I don’t know who you think you’re talking to, I received sub standard care from this establishment. What’s the point in lying, I’m just documenting my experience. I decided to leave this dentist, you didn’t take me off no books. I never missed appointments, I made sure not to. That’s funny no dentist would remove my healthy tooth because my new dentist called you strange for not removing my impacted wisdoms that were causing teeth to shift & look crooked. And you missed my gum disease, funny you’ve got “good”dentist’s & staff but you failed to see that or warn me about it. Hoping to cash in on it later. Dodgy.

Great dentist, friendly staff and great service.

I have been a patient at this dentist since 2017, but have recently left. The stars reflect the overall treatment received throughout this time. I was registered as an NHS patient, so maybe that has affected my treatment somewhat due to costings. I had a temporary filling placed in my mouth by a dentist at this practice in 2021, as she was unable to restore the tooth with a permanent filling. I did not like the way I was treated by this particular dentist, so moved to another dentist within the same practice retaining my NHS status. The new dentist said the tooth looked ok, and would eventually replace the temp filling with a permanent filling. Many visits later, the filling was still not done, and then said the whole tooth was likely going to be removed. I decided to get another opinion, and was lucky enough that I could afford a private dentist in another practice. The new dentist at the private practice placed a permanent filling in the tooth that the previous dentist said needed removing, and also repaired another filling that had cracked after 1 year (done at the former practice). Also, despite countless visits to Sherwood Dental Care, I have never received an NHS scale and polish. I was always told to book in with the hygienist, at an additional cost when it should be covered within the NHS banding. The practice was clean, dentist lovely and receptionists helpful, which is why overall I have given the 3 stars. However, if I wasn’t able to afford private care, I would have sadly and unnecessarily lost a tooth now.

Happens to be my local dentistry, but I'm very fortunate that it is. The staff are great and I've always been very happy with the treatment I've received.

My son had to have a filling and injection for the first time yesterday. The dentist (Sumayyah Hussainy) was amazing with him and the nurse who assisted. I have my own anxieties about the dentist, so was concerned how he would deal with this experience. But they spoke calmly and ensured he was ok the whole time. They distracted him whilst they did the injection and he says it didn't hurt him at all! He was a little trooper, but the dentist played a huge part in making it a calm experience.

I needed some urgent treatment following an accident and called the practice as a distressed unregistered patient. The reception staff - who are all lovely - helped me to secure an appointment quickly. I saw Dr Mayur Patel who was incredibly kind, thorough and reassuring at my initial assessment. I then saw Dr Sarju Tank, along with lovely Demi assisting, for composite bonding treatment. She again was extremely kind, explained everything clearly, and did a fantastic job. She answered all my questions and arranged a follow up appointment in the future. I'm very grateful to everyone for helping me get treated so quickly and I can't recommend this practice enough.

I just wanted to put out there that I was so nervous with my extraction today as I always am with anything to do with the dentist but Abdul Naseer was really nice and reassuring. He is super friendly, professional & knowledgeable. He keeps you informed as treatment progresses throughout, so you know exactly what's happening. I cannot speak more highly of all the staff at the Sherwood Dental Practice the reception team, dental nurses and dental surgeons are all very welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient. Like many people, I can't say I like going to the dentist, but these guys make it about as great an experience as it can be.

Clean practice, lots of natural light, both dentists I've seen there have been friendly, corteous and polite. Usually not *too* far behind on their appointments (not a snipe, everywhere medical usually is), particularly if you go in the morning - this most recent time I was even seen exactly on time! I was fortunate enough that they still had NHS places when I joined, but for the quality of service the private fees wouldn't sting quite so hard as they might elsewhere.
