I had a check-up today and I was impressed with the service. The receptionist was polite and helpful. The dentist I saw (Mr Haider Ali Hussain) was excellent, made me feel at ease and explained everything clearly and thoroughly.

Easy to book as a new nhs patient. The service and examination was highly professional and thorough.

I am genuinely disappointed with the service at Eastwood Dental Centre. From the moment I walked in, the older of the reception staff were borderline rude. I was met with orders rather than assistance. Fill this in fill that in, we have changed computer systems so you have to do this all again. No explanation, no courtesy. Just instructions barked at me. I then went upstairs for my appointment. I waited over 50 minutes over my appointment time without an update or apology. I WAS a private patient intending to have implant treatment that would have cost tens of thousands. After that experience that will not be happening. The practise seems unsure whether it's operating as an NHS dentist or a private dentist and the current service reflects that confusion. Nothing about this experience felt like private care. The final insult was when I asked for a copy of the CT scan that I went elsewhere for and paid out of my pocket. I was told abruptly that I need to submit a SAR to obtain my information. A scan I paid for... I was then asked for ID, I showed my driving licence, and the receptionist said that my driving licence will need to be scanned in too. ABSOLUTLEY NOT. You can take the details from my licence and that's it, she said its company policy, WELL ITS NOT MY POLICY. I left shortly after as I could see I was getting no where. This practice seriously needs to decide what it is offering. The experience is neither NHS or Private it's poor. Up to an hour wait for you appointment. I have been left feeling frustrated, dismissed and messed around. I will be taking my dental care and my money elsewhere.

I have been a patient at Eastwood Dental Practice for many years as a child and as an adult. I have mostly had a positive experience with them but this unfortunately wasn’t the case for me at my recent appointment. I had an emergency appointment at the surgery last Friday. I signed in at reception and was served by receptionist Lisa. She asked me if I had filled out the online forms for my appointment and I informed her that I did not have the chance to do it (as I had a very busy, hectic day). I was met with a rude response of “well can you try to in future because we are moving away from using the paper form.” How was I to know this? I was made to feel very uncomfortable and as if I was an inconvenience. I went to my appointment and I was prescribed antibiotics by my dentist. After I finished my appointment I dropped my paper forms on the reception desk near to where the receptionists were sitting and it was in a place where they could see it and retrieve it easily. All three receptionists at the time were occupied and busy with other patients and I was in a rush as I had a family emergency to attend so I needed to leave the surgery as quickly as possible. I went to my named local pharmacy to pick up my antibiotics but I was informed by staff there that my dentist had not stamped my prescription paper so I was unable to get them. I went back to my dentist and I spoke to one of the receptionists that was there in the morning (who I did not speak to then). I informed her of what had happened and she stamped my prescription paper. And just as I was about to leave, another receptionist who was already dealing with another patient at the time and was speaking to them, stopped what she was doing and turned around and said “well you did just walk off earlier didn’t you without waiting. You do realise we have to stamp it before you leave but you would have known that if you’d have waited” in a very rude and aggressive manner. And then she rudely turned her head back to the patient (who she should have remained dealing with and not talking to me about something that I had already resolved with the other receptionist). I was so shocked and taken aback by someone in a daily customer/person facing role would have the gall to speak to one of their patients that way without knowing the context to their appointment or situation. Unfortunately I did not get the name of this extremely rude receptionist- she was small, blonde and wore glasses. I was in so much pain as I had been told I had tonsillitis and issues with my wisdom tooth extraction that was causing me severe pain so I felt so poorly and didn’t need this level of verbal abuse or upset. Staff at Eastwood Dental Centre Nottingham (Rodericks Dental Partners) should have more training and CPD in customer service skills, patient well being and manners. Disgusting service and staff at front of house. 0 stars given. Note: I had to put 1 star as it would not let me submit the review without me putting a star.
