A trip to the dentist is not my idea of fun. Having a tooth extracted - especially a huge one fills me with fear. Magda was so considerate - kind and gently reassuring.

I can't recommend Dr. Atif Chohan at MyDentist in Rainhill highly enough. I first visited last year for a wisdom tooth extraction and was so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and calm manner. Not only is he clearly very experienced, but he's also genuinely down-to-earth and easy to talk to — something that really helps put you at ease, especially during dental visits. Since then, he’s also started looking after my children’s dental care, and they feel just as comfortable with him as I do. It's great to have found a dentist who combines clinical expertise with such a warm, approachable attitude. Also worth mentioning is his dental assistant — she’s incredibly friendly, calming, and clearly excellent at her job. The whole team creates such a positive and reassuring atmosphere. A fantastic experience all around.

I’ve been having tooth pain in a tooth I chipped when I was younger. This practice was able to give me an emergency nhs appointment and I saw Ayala Haririri. She listened to what my problems were and did an examination and booked me in for another appointment in a couple weeks for a root canal. She made me feel really comfortable and explained everything in a way I could understand

I was an NHS patient here pre-covid. When they resumed appointments after lockdown finished I rang up to get an appointment for a check up. The person on the other end of the phone said to wait and they would get around to me as they had a backlog. I kept ringing at 6 month periods and was told the same thing each time. I was then told they'd removed me as a patient because I hadn't been in! Appalling service. Gave 2* because the dentists were great but the admin is terrible.

I have been with this dentist since I was little (53 now). I had a panic attack in there when I was about 15. So always been a bit dubious about going. About 18 months ago one of the dentists went to take my tooth out but it broke. I was scared to go to the dental hospital so kept putting it off. I had a check up at the beginning of november and a different dentist Kamila said I would have to have the tooth out. I was a bit scared but opted to have it done. I felt so relaxed and comfortable that it was over quickly. I'm definitely going to visit Kamila from now on. Excellent service xx

I had my wisdom tooth taken out here today. I am a private MyDentist patient but I go to a different clinic usually. I was really nervous about this but the staff were really lovely. I felt reassured by the dentist and the nurse even held my hand for the local anaesthetic. I was out and all done 30 minutes after my appointment. Thank you

I contacted the practice today and got put on the NHS waiting list. I must say absolutely 5* for the receptionist I spoke to today, she was very lovely and told me all the information I was looking for. I sure hope it won’t be long till I get seen by the dentist, looking at the other reviews about people’s experiences with the dentists I am a bit concerned but hopefully that has been sorted

They don’t listen to you, very rude & carefree. Will not be ever going back. Used to be a good dentist, I’ve been going my whole life but now it’s just gone down hill.

What can I say about Rainhills My dentist. I needed a dentist because I was in pain, so I booked a appointment which was very simple the lady on the phone was nice but because am not signed up with the NHS I had to pay (£49) to have it looked at, Which I don't agree with you should never have to pay when your in pain simple fact. The receptionist and the assistant was nice but when I went to see the dentist (Dr Botha) I could already tell something isn't right about her, she was rather rude about my dental hygiene which was unnecessary when you just want to get in and out and find out what your next few options are. Dr Botha needs a few lessons in empathy, customer service and not to be so rude to customers when they have been in pain! (As the owner I would definitely check to see why the dentists are nasty for no reason it makes no sense) All I got was a simple X-Ray to show that the tooth has to come out and got no prescription was given afterwards. Overall I wish my experience went better as I just don't like the idea of having to give loads of money to a dentist and they just don't care about you one bit! Save your money and get with the NHS or better yet find someone who cares!
