Best place to be if you take a heart attack ❤️. Aspirin given immediately by Aidan my dentist; first responder ⛑️ the amazing David Winter there in minutes. Cannula in and all the meds administered. Blue lighted to NHS Golden Jubilee. Ballooned within 90 minutes. Felt so much better and due to prompt action no damage to heart. However, three days later diagnosed with dodgy aortic valve. Three weeks later open heart with new pig valve and double bypass; it hurt. In preparation for the op the most important factor was having good dental health. Apparently having gum disease or dental decay invalidates you for open heart surgery and is a major contributor to heart disease. My dental check before op was perfect. Fifteen weeks later at the wonderful Milngavie Dental Care. Following day back at work at 73 years old. Thank you 🙏

Anyone with dental phobia should go here. I went for my first appointment in 6 years because I couldn't chew anything due to the top wisdom tooth smashing down on my lower gum for the last month. They told me I had to get my top wisdom tooth removed and as someone with PTSD, OCD, autism and SEVERE dental phobia this obviously freaked me out. I was offered diazepram as a sedative that would relax me during the extraction. I got there a week later and the sedative (5mg of diazepram) did nothing for me and I had more panic attacks than I can count. Theres a few reasons why it would work on others and why it didnt work on me. So I kind of hid just behind the entrance and tried really hard to convince myself to go in for it but I just felt like I couldn't. Dr Richa chose to come out and tell me that I can cancel it if I want or I can just sit inside the place for half an hour while it's empty and see if I end up feeling more up to it. Long story short, even though the sedative didnt do anything for me (or enough for me) that time and space really calmed me down and I decided to go through with it anyway and she genuinely could not have been any more accommodating, kind and empathetic aswell as the staff. She let me get used to the chair first, then she went in with the numbing injection around 4-6 times. She made sure I was as numb as possible as I requested. While on the chair I had a pretty severe panic attack where I hyperventilated and saw black on the table. She let me choose some music to put on, held my hand, got me some water and lay me all the way down so my head would stop rushing. Then once I'd calmed down, she went in with some more numbing then with the tools and after some slight pressure and crunching, my tooth was out in literally 5-10 seconds. It was completely painless. I was so surprised and so grateful. I admit that for me, everything moved a little quickly once I was in the chair and that did freak me out but for the sake of just needing the issue over and done with, it was definitely what I needed and I knew I was in very safe hands. Final conclusion: Dr Richa could not have been more accomodating and comforting. If you want a dental practice that is professional while also being homey, cosy, accommodating and really caring about their clients then this is the dentist for you.

I recently visited Milngavie Dental Practice where I was seen by Aidan. Usually I’m very apprehensive when visiting the dentist but Aidan made me feel so at ease and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He spoke through the entire treatment explaining the process which was super helpful. If you are thinking of registering, please do! Aidan and the Milngavie team are absolutely fantastic and really look after me every time I visit! I could not recommend him and the practice enough. 10/10
