I have been a patient at Barnton Dental Spa for a few years now and would highly recommend them. The staff are very friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in. I see Laura the hygienist who gives great advice on keeping up with dental hygiene in between visits, also non judgemental if I’ve let it slip a bit. I also see Gursimar who gives a thorough examination and was great at putting me at ease when I needed to get a tooth taken out, explaining my options if I wanted to ‘fill the gap’. Both Laura and Gursimer always make a point in checking I’m ok during any treatment. The dental nurses are friendly and efficient too and join in on any appropriate chat before and after treatment making my visits feel as if they all genuinely care about the service I receive.

Terrible experience with Pritz. My diabetes was affecting my teeth so I decided to go for private dental care. A plan was made for an upper plate and a cobalt lower plate. These took over a year to make!!! They also extracted 9 teeth at once, my gums wouldn't stop bleeding. They tried to stich my gums so many times that there was no intact tissue that was stichable. This resulted in a trip St John's hospital to stop the bleeding. From going to my appointment to getting home was over 8 hours. Appointments were cancelled without letting me know. Was accused of still owing £1000 after paying my bill. After producing receipts Pritz told me that one of the girls must have forgotten to put it across, what ever that meant, no apology was given. The lower cobalt plate was poorly fitted and painful but was told "you'll get used to it and the pain will go away", I persisted for a few months but still in pain they went in the bin. The upper plate which took a year still does not fit properly even with fixodent. The also look really cheaply made and is so thick it can make me gag. Also paid for a Hygienist session which I never received and overpaid by £100 which was highlighted by the receptionist but didn't refund the £175. So all in all I would never recommend them.

My husband and I have been patients at Barnton Dental Spa for many years and can recommend them for the excellent service they provide. Last week I broke one of my heavily filled upper teeth on a toffee and feared the worst! I phoned the surgery and was seen the same day by Gurshy, a really great dentist I had not met before. She was very helpful and kindly gave me a temporary filling. I returned yesterday to have the tooth repaired as planned and am very pleased with the result. Gurshey is very professional and caring and a great asset to the practice. A big thank you to her, Teenie and Amy for their help. You were all super!
