Peter planned out a course of treatment, which on each visit has been nothing short of wonderful; this has included root canal work and wisdom tooth extraction, all of which have been painless. Very good experience and set my quite worried 6 year old at ease very quickly with a friendly and engaging manner. I was very impressed that he made time for a last minute emergency appointment late in the day after my son was injured. The check was professional and pain free, and we were given a good explanation of what to expect next, and how to decide if we needed to come back in. I would recommend to friends and family.

I am very disappointed by the attitude of this dentist. After a check he advised for works worth £1300 but I did not embark on such expenditure. Recently I had an abcess in another part of the mouth and he provided with a prescription of antibiotics (thank you for that) but shouted on me, making me guilty of not having embarked on his treatment, and saying "I will delete your records and do not come back to me". Absolutely disgracious. The man is probably skilled, but has not a good temperament and is full of anger

I had my first visit at this dental practice in May 2021. I have to say that I was truly impressed by the whole experience. Dr. Peter Sands' customer service and professionalism was excellent and I felt in safe hands from the very beginning. He took the time to thoroughly inspect every single tooth in my mouth, explain everything in detail and educate me in various aspects of the mouth hygiene. It is not the cheapest option in Abingdon but I think the value of the services they deliver exceeds the cost. I strongly recommend this dental practice

New patient and so far my experience has been fantastic. All of the staff have been friendly and welcoming and Peter seemed really thorough with his examination, explaining throughout what he was doing and why. During the consultation we discussed treatment needed and he took the time to show me the problem area, help me understand why they were problems and why treatment was needed. He left me feeling comfortable and that my teeth were in safe hands. All in all I'm happy with my choice of dentist so far and would definitely recommend to others in the area (especially nervous patients, as Peter's approach and manner is very calm and reassuring).

I recently moved to the area and saw that Peter's clinic came highly recommended. I visited the clinic for an initial review where he did an examination and took x-rays. I then made a further appointment with the hope that he was going to start some treatment and fix the teeth that had issues. Although I had made it clear I wanted an hour appointment so actual work could be done, when I arrived all he did was temporary work. Approx a month later, I then tried to make a further appointment making it clear that I wanted the teeth that were causing me pain to be fixed. His response to me was that he would need to see me again to understand what teeth needed to be fixed. This would have been my 3rd visit with actual no treatment being performed. It was clear to me he was just trying to string the appointments out to make as much money as possible from me. I will never go back to this dentist again. He is only after money

I lost a filling so had to make an emergency appointment - my first time going to this dentist. Excellent service, friendly and made me feel at ease, especially with the precautions due to Covid-19. Dentist was chatty but professional, I need to go back to finish the procedure but for once I don't feel worried about it. Would definitely recommend.
