I had the best experience with Harpenden Orthodontist, this is the 2nd time I have returned and the service was amazing from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

Not at all impressed with the way this place is handling our child's braces. Because he was referred for free treatment for NHS braces, they showed virtually no interest in getting him booked in, making him wait 10months for the actual fitting. In the few months he has had them, not one wire change has taken place, instead relying on a child to use an app to try and take awkward photos to send to the dentist. Each response so far was 'nothing needs doing'. Now, around 2 weeks ago, a wire snapped and was causing discomfort in his gum. This place very rarely answers the phone, so a message was sent via the app, to which the reply was 'nothing needs doing'. His mum then called to explain, and their answer was to give him an appointment over a week later, leaving him in pain. I get the impression that if we were your regular customer paying several thousand pounds for treatment we would be treated a little better and quicker, but because our son is getting them 'free' on the NHS, we are seen as an inconvenience and a burden. Not only that - anytime you dare to call and ask for an appointment, you are rudely told to use an app (which takes days for them to reply to). Im now looking for another orthodontist now to take over my sons treatment. This place is so bad its farcical.

Harpenden orthodontics have worked absolute wonders on my teeth. It’s been a long journey of at least 3 years but they’ve somehow managed to make my teeth perfectly strait despite starting with one in the centre of my mouth and being told by prior practices that they would not be able to achieve the goal without removing any teeth, yet they certainly managed to. I am endlessly grateful and would recommend this practice to anyone.
