Had root canal yesterday with Dr Tom Hennebry. The plan was to then start the process of having a crown fitted. After the R/C Dr Tom talked me through why a crown was not really necessary at this stage and that he could build the tooth back up with a filling. Basically halving my bill! Dr Tom told me that this is the route he would take on his own teeth- a filling not a crown. (what better recommendation is that!) Dentistry- skilfully executed and painless (just the expected pinches from the initial anesthetic injections- to be expected) Would highly recommend Dr Tom.

It has been a year since my first visit to Dental Care. On that time I have been impressed by Steph and Anne’s superb dentistry practice. They have transformed my badly neglected denture into a healthy nice one. Definitely Dental Care was the right choice. Craig, Debby, Alice all great professionals, always there to help.

A very calming fresh and clean décor throughout. Stephanie and the staff are all very friendly. I had Inspection, dental clean up. AND a rear tooth extraction with not the slightest pain ache or post numbness of gums from the complete treatment. Well worth the 25 mile drive every time. And a cup of coffee.

I had been going to this practice for a couple of years. I found Maarten kind and chatty. However, I recently had a whitening treatment which I subsequently discovered was significantly more expensive that at other practices. Furthermore, l was told I could come back and get more syringes if I wanted. What I was not told was that I would have to pay for these. I was somewhat taken aback when I was charged over £37 per syringe and I raised this issue at the time. I was advised by the receptionist that I am sure I understood, dentists had to cover their costs (have you ever seen a private dentist who wasn’t very well off?!). I then found that identical syringes were available online for less than £10 each. I complained about this and was invited in by Maarten’s practice partner who is now the owner but she would not refund me the cost of the two syringes. She offered a few more for free, but the price I was charged is extortionate and frankly, immoral. I cannot defend or attend a practice that it so openly exploitative.

I was recommended Dental Care Centre and all I can say is, it exceeded my expectations. I am a nervous patient and have been looking for a dentist who I can trust and feel comfortable with and my experience was just that. I’ll start from the beginning when I was greeted by Debbie the receptionist, what a warming, friendly lady who instantly made me feel at ease. Then when it was my time I was greeted by Stephanie (dentist) and Ann (nurse). Both ladies were welcoming, warm and at one point I had forgotten I was at a dental practice. The friendly vibe and atmosphere was exactly what I have been looking for and my whole experience was a pleasure, something I never thought I’d say about a dental visit. I can’t express enough thank you to all three ladies. Anyone looking for an honest, friendly dental practice, this is it.
