I wanted to give below Zero as I took my pregnant wife to this clinic, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The dentist was rude, impatient, and in a hurry throughout the visit. My wife had another painful tooth which she mentioned, but the dentist didn’t even care to check or address it. Instead of showing compassion and understanding — especially for a pregnant patient — she was treated with unnecessary attitude that left her feeling very low after the appointment. This kind of treatment is unacceptable in healthcare, and I hope the clinic takes steps to improve the way patients are cared for.

0 starts if i could. NEGCLECTED TREATMENT. Booked an emergency appointment with NHS for the Vallance centre dentist for my 5 years old boy. He had a hole in his tooth, underneath there was a lot of swelling and an infection not visible to me ( i was not aware of it. Found out only after the appointment due to the level of pain he was in )but I am pretty sure it was visible to the dentist as he was checking thoroughly with his tools and light. They did not even mention to me about the infection, failed to treat him properly and neglected the right treatment he needed. Just put some fillings on his tooth and sent him home only for me hours after to find out he was still in a lot of agony and screaming in pain due to the infected tooth a and swelling .Absolutely fuming, i will be really suing them for neglecting dental care

I visited the centre on January 9th 2025. As always all of the staff were kind and considerate 👏 The dentist Louisa and her assistant are always helpful and reassuring 😇 I was particularly impressed by Victoria (Reception) who dealt with a complicated inquiry on the phone prior to my visit. She showed patients and explained the matter to me in a clear logical concice manner. It's all very much appreciated 🙏 😄 Upon my arrival, I sought her out, to thank her 😊 Victoria! Good 👍 for you lady 😁 Kind regards Des Connolly ✨️ 😊

Currently in-between dentists and had some issues come up with one of my wisdom teeth which caused a lot of pain. I called the Greater Manchester Emergency Dental Service on Sunday and was booked in for Monday afternoon at SMDEC, Ardwick (I could pick which dental clinic to attend - I chose this one as it's close to my work). I arrived, filled in some forms, paid the fee and was seen quickly. Alex (the dentist) and his dental nurse (whose name I forget) were friendly, and identified and treated the problem quickly. 2 days on and I feel much better. Very grateful to have access to this service!

Janann and her nurse this weekend was utterly amazing and Abul on the reception desk. Outstanding team. Professional, compassionate and caring. Thank you all so so much! Xx

I want to express my profound frustration and disappointment regarding the appalling treatment I received from your clinic on 15/08/2024. At 5:40 PM, I called your clinic in excruciating pain due to an infection and the growth of a wisdom tooth. Despite my desperate condition, your staff coldly informed me that my call couldn't be accepted until 6:00 PM. This response was utterly nonsensical, especially since I clearly stated that my registered dentist was closed at 5:00 PM. Your dismissive approach to what was clearly an emergency situation is inexcusable. I was in such intense pain that I couldn't swallow or even breathe properly. Yet, your staff chose to hang up on me without the slightest concern for whether I was still breathing. I was barely able to speak due to the pain, and your clinic's complete lack of empathy or urgency in handling my case is shocking. When I called back at 6:00 PM, as instructed, I was asked what the matter was. After briefly explaining, I was abruptly questioned about my ethnicity. Upon disclosing that I am not a native, the conversation took a disturbing turn. I was suddenly informed that there was no availability for me that day, and my condition was dismissed without any attempt to assess the severity of my situation. This blatant disregard for a patient's well-being, especially based on ethnicity, is both unprofessional and discriminatory. I am utterly appalled that a place calling itself the Greater Manchester Dental Urgent Care Service could show such a complete lack of care. Your clinic's staff not only failed to provide the necessary emergency care but also displayed a disturbing level of negligence and bias. It's clear that your clinic should not be the one to bear the title of an "Urgent Care" if this is how you treat patients in critical need. In the end, I was forced to call 999, and it was only thanks to their intervention, after administering multiple painkillers and antibiotics, that I was able to manage the pain. However, this does not change the fact that your clinic ignored a patient in severe pain and needlessly delayed essential care, purely based on my ethnicity. Your clinic's behavior is beyond unacceptable, and I demand an immediate explanation for this gross misconduct. Patients deserve better than to be treated with such callous indifference, and I will be escalating this matter further if necessary. You call yourselves Greater Manchester Urgent Dental Care Services—why? This title should be reserved for a clinic that actually provides urgent care, not one that dismisses and neglects patients in need.

Rang on a Saturday for an emergency appt. Lady on the phone booked me in for next day within 4 miles of where I lived. It was a positive experience. The only thing I'd suggest is a confirmation appointment text or email after the call the reassure you that you're booked in & to show the dentist should you need proof of the appointment when you get there.
