Have to call out Aris - the most competent, caring and effective dentist I’ve ever been treated by. His compassion for my multiple problems over the years has given me a quality of life that I just wouldn’t have enjoyed with another practitioner. I have experienced some problems during a conversation with the male receptionist yesterday morning( Thursday 18th September) As I'm partially deaf I couldn't catch every word as he spoke very fast. I asked him to repeat, speak slower and clear... I needed to cancel the 2pm appointment with Scott Heritage. My dentist is Maria and has been for over 6 years now. I have nothing but high praise for her and her assistant. When I made the appointment on 11th September suffering with toothache I was speaking with the same receptionist. I was allocated an appointment for 18th September ( a whole week to wait in pain) and informed to my disappointment that Maria isn't there. I enquired if she has left but he kept repeating that isn't there, he doesn't know when/if she will return. During the evening of Wednesday 17th September I have started to feel unwell. I was coughing, sneezing, shivering, had headache and sore throat and high temperature. I haven't slept that night. The next morning I have phoned at 9am to cancel the 2pm appointment. But I was told by this receptionist that it will be marked down as 'late cancellation'. I asked him to explain what consequences that will have for me but I couldn't understand him. This has left me bewildered and upset! Since I'm not clairvoyant I couldn't predict the state of my health and cancel 24 hours prior the appointment or whatever the time limit is as I didn't get the information from him. I found him to be very unsympathetic. I had the best intentions to cancel as soon as it was possible. Also by not attending I prevented spreading my germs all over your surgery... for that I was being rebuked.

Incredibly expensive compared to other well rated dentists in Liverpool. Call themselves “affordable” but they are double the price of others without any reason.

I recently had a composite treatment at this practice. A beautifully crafted composite by Dr. Shashi. Another private dentist had given me a crown, Ollie, and Darsh many years ago. It was bigger than the tooth next to it! Every dentist since has recommended replacing the crown done by Darsh and creating a second crown. This always seemed like an aggressive and costly proposal. So, thanks to Dr. Shashi at My Dentist, Grove Street. I now have two front teeth that match perfectly. For a fraction of the price, £195! Many thanks to him and his nurse, Niamh, for their quiet professionalism and good humour.
