Since Mr Collins left this has been poorly managed. He was amazing. The current staff are rude and uncooperative. No consideration for patients. My wife was ill before an appointment and gave them plenty of notice but they still wanted to charge a fee for cancelling appointment. This was after we had spent a lot of money at the practice. My wife subsequently paid many more hundreds of pounds for work that was not adequate and they now want to charge for their poor work as she is experiencing tooth pain. Steer clear.

Shoddy fillings at this dentist led to me having to to pay £3000 at a much better private dentist in city centre to rectify. Avoid at all costs.

After seeing Dentist Mathew Ames and his dental nurse Hannah, feel so much more confident with my teeth. The Composite Bonding made a big difference to how I felt and looked. He was very particular in his work and made sure he told me every step what he was doing, he made me feel so at ease. absolutely Brilliant Dentist.

Really disappointed with the staff at this practice. The reception team need training for sure on how to handle patients and treat fairly with respect. I have been attending this practice for years, and really appreciate the dentist Mr Ames who has been great carrying out works for me. However, the front end reception team let this practice down. They demand money from you before actually seeing the dentist, and are quite frankly rude and inconsiderate. I just wanted to see my dentist and pay the appropriate fees as I always do, but they refused; which lead me asking to speak to practice manager. Who didn't attend. I have now cancelled my membership at this practice. And my advice is for the reception team to treat patients with respect and understand the situation before demanding and setting law down. They also try to charge me £40 cancellation fee when 3 days prior the dentist cancelled on me. And I was informed this was waived. Overall, if in these situations I would recommend the reception team take a step back and listen to the patient first and even ask to speak in a different room away from other patients. The girls there tried to twist on me saying I was aggressive when wasn't the case and felt this was being thrown at me when challenged on the situation. Cameras are in reception and I suggest the practice manager review in order to educate their team. Won't be using this practice ever again. Shocking service.

I made an emergency appointment because my tooth hurts so bad. The attendant on the phone stated that the entire cost, including the temporary filling, was £100. The doctor examined me and suggested that I take antibiotics and have my tooth extracted. He said that I have to pay the tooth extraction fee separately. I paid £100 just for the diagnosis. I don't think this is fair at all?

Very disappointed with the service received from Roby Road Dental. Having attended this practice for 20+ years since a child it is a shame to see in the process of their re-brand and move to private dental care they have lost all sense of customer loyalty and how to deal with customers. My initial call was to discuss a Denplan package and was immediately informed by the receptionist, Chloe that I must come in and pay £45 for an assessment to determine the price, this was frustrating due to the fact I had attended the practice twice prior to Christmas for a check up and then a hygiene appt and spoke to both the dentist and the receptionist regarding my interest in Denplan. Chloe then suggested I should have asked for this on my previous appt, which was even more frustrating as I recall separate conversations with reception and the Dentist explaining I am keen to sign up and was just given flyers to come home with and to call back when you want to book. The Dentist also told me they had an offer on in January which is why I also waited and didnt sign up in December. If they would have explained I would need to come back on another £45 appt of course I would have asked for the assessment there and then. I asked to speak with the Manager, to which Chloe said she is too busy I will check with her and come back to you. The decision was there was no movement on this and Chloe persisted to tell me under no circumstances can I come into the practice without paying for an appointment, eventhough I explained I wasn't due back for 6 months. Surely they can assess and give me a monthly subscription price based on my extensive 20+ year history and my Xray taken in November, I've never had any fillings in 34 years, just a wisdom tooth extraction in April. The poor service I have received over this has left me really disappointed, I have always recommended the practice and had great care and service when it was ran by the Chambers family and my previous Dentist Anthony Collins. I would strongly suggest that your reception team get some training, I simply couldn't get a word in edge ways and she just kept repeating I had to pay regardless and wouldn't listen to my concerns.

I have been informed by this dentist , which I've been going to for the last few years. That they are no longer treating NHS patients. Why? Would like an answer please.

Absolutely disgusting that this dentist has gone private, only giving my family and myself two weeks notice. We had been going to this dentist since my sisters and I were toddlers and for them to treat us this way, after being a client for nearly 20 years, disgraceful! Worse time to get sent a letter like this especially during these times when people are struggling enough. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!
