Just finished a course of treatment at Mydentist Corstorphine. 1st visit to their new practice since they moved from within Tesco. Practice is bright and clean. Being a very nervous patient I was dreading my visit, not having been to the dentist for a few years didn't help. My dentist is Tanushree Agrawal and this was my 1st appointment with her. As soon as we met she put me at ease. Once I had my examination she explained the whole treatment plan to me, answering a few questions I had. I recently had the pleasure of being treated by a young and highly skilled dentist who completely transformed the look and function of my teeth. He performed three white fillings that are absolutely flawless, 100% natural-looking and indistinguishable from my original teeth. Following that, he also did a professional whitening treatment that delivered fantastic results. Despite my usual fear of dental visits, this dentist’s calm and gentle approach made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. The treatments were painless, and his reassuring manner truly helped me overcome my anxiety. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and expertise he provided. Managed to register my father in law quickly and explained the challenges of a patient with dementia and a care home resident. Staff were outstanding in arranging replacement of lost lower dentures. Despite the difficulties getting accurate impressions he now has a good bite. Fabulous service and patience

Just “Just me” Me

I’m very disappointed with the service from this practice. I generally do not give bad reviews on public forums but this needs to be said. I was charged £385 for 2 fillings. This felt horrible from the second day. I thought it just needed time, so I called back a week later to say that I was in pain, but I was told I can only call first thing at 08:45. When I did call at the said time, there was an outgoing voice message saying that the practice was closed. I eventually got through and was told that although I called at the right time, all emergency appointments were taken. I called back again today 03/10/2024 and was told to come in at 15:45 which is in the middle of my work day. I got there only to have the dentist give me interdental toothbrushes which I have at home. All he did was take an x-ray, poke and probe at my already sensitive gum, then he used interdental toothbrushes to push through the tight space between my teeth. I told him that the bigger interdental brush was sore and that I preferred a smaller one much like the one I tend to use at home and but he proceeded to probe the sensitive gum with the bigger brush, then the smaller one, even though I said it was sore. He then flossed the area which felt like he was slicing my inflamed gum and said he was done after he handed me the two interdental brushes he had just used on my teeth. I had to ask what he was going to do about my pain and if he would do anything for me today, but he said it was just an assessment and that I should return on 4 days from today. I’m quite tired of the whole song and dance with this practice, so I called back to cancel my appointments going forward and the receptionist asked if I want to be deregistered as well. She did not care enough to ask what was wrong. I asked if they have a complaints procedure and she said they don’t, and that all she could do is pass my concerns to the practice manager. I paid extra for my teeth because I thought I would feel better for longer with white fillings but this is the worst dental experience I’ve ever had.
