Emergency dental service

Attended for an emergency appointment on a Sunday morning due to my own dentist being closed. I was told my an out of hours GP the night before I definitely had an infection as my nodes were very swollen, high heart rate and temperature and that I would need dental antibiotics. I paid £27 to be seen for literally a minute and was told I don’t need antibiotics as it’s healing and to use numbing gel and a mouth guard. I had a wound and a lot of swelling from biting down with a top wisdom tooth to the bottom of my mouth where teeth have been removed and injuring my gum. I was in extreme pain and saw my dentist as early as possible (the following Tuesday) who gave me antibiotics for an infection. Waste of time and money

There are a lot of negative reviews on here so i just wanted to put my two pence in, as everybody has their own experiences. If you go on to the actual Ivy Dental reviews you will see so many 5 star reviews for the emergency team that are meant to be on here that in my opinion they definitely deserve. I can say i have never felt more comfortable at a dentist in my life. it was easy to find, easy to park, as soon as i walked in i was greeted by the receptionist who was lovely. I got seen pretty much straight away (10 minutes before my appointment). The dentist i saw was calm and friendly and explained the directions i could take with my dental care. I chose to remove my tooth and the entire process was made as comfortable as possible. the dental nurse was reassuring me the entire time and making sure i was ok. As someone with anxiety and who has had bad experiences in dentist, i can’t thank her enough for. I would definitely recommend them to people. I had an incredible experience with them

Absolute stinking attitude. Came for an emergency appointment, all the way from Rusholme, you can't predict bus times and you can't predict the traffic. Was late by 10 minutes and usually when it isn't an NHS patient they allow grace time of 15 minutes but I assume as an NHS patient it's free so they don't care much. The receptionist told the dentist her 12 o clock was here and she the receptionist lied and said sorry make another appointment. Don't know what type of awful healthcare this is but glad I didn't end up seeing them. I'd rather go through this pain than have "selective service" from such money loving capitalists. I know they’ll charge the NHS as a no show - horrible service.

Quality service pleasant staff but should be more accessible for patients to ring dentist which accept emergency it's all about £££££ even though I'm on nhs and probably cost a lot more because we can't see the bills they created that's the rigmeroll of truth everything is business related when it is human rights for anyone to get help.but got what was needed with quality care as anybody should care is care freedom of our control let's get back to basics simplicity is the key tooth out

I had an emergency dental appointment after knocking out a front tooth (very bad very ugly), and was very grateful for the care I received with my treatment. As an emergency dental service, staff are obviously super busy and very limited in how much they can do in the time they are given per appointment, but the dentist and dental nurse that saw me went out of their way to be kind and empathetic in what was a very traumatic circumstance and were very good at explaining my options for me, which was great because I was so confused and worried. As I had a little tooth left in, they gave me a small cosmetic fix so I didnt have to walk around toothless whilst I waited to get an appointment with my own dentist, which would have made my supporting teeth very vulnerable, and they did such a good job that it didnt come off at all, and had to be drilled off when I saw my actual dentist, who was very impressed at the job. Very grateful for the level of care I was given, especially as I know the staff were so busy when I visited, but they did everything in their power to ensure I was seen, treated, and comforted. If you're seeing this, it was Sunday the 14th at 15:20, thank you so much <3

Came in yesterday on an emergency appointment as my dentist had none and I have had a lot of pain with a partially erupted wisdom tooth. In my opinion (obviously I am no dentist) i have had this tooth coming through for at least a year and my gum is swollen around now and causing pain to my gum jaw and face , I think it’s impacted and is not going to come through. I waited 40 mins after my planned appointment time , to only be seen for 2 mins whilst the lady barely looked in my mouth and said it’s just teething and said I have a blister and there’s no swelling and to just use teething gel (even though the inside of my cheek is covering said tooth from swelling) and as I was trying to explain nothing was working , was already in the middle of taking her gloves off saying sorry I couldn’t help. Biggest waste of time and money in agony , just because they were busy. My mouth looks like the picture below

Superb service. I called the helpline on Saturday after waking up to blood on my pillow and terrible pain and swelling (tooth extraction 10 days ago). I was given an appointment on Sunday. I got a call to come in a bit earlier as they'd had a cancellation. The receptionist was delightful, we had a really nice chat as we waited and the dentist and her assistant were professional and very nice explaining every step of the procedure. I left with a prescription for antibiotics and very grateful for the service on my doorstep. Highly recommend.

Booked an appointment for a filling. They didn’t have the right composite so didn’t do the filling but they still charged me for it anyway. British dental care is dead!!! Go abroad.

funny how any negative review you blame on out of hours service etc ... my son was seen by your staff after being sent to you via 111 ... it cost 26pounds in uber cost ... and i will be reporting your practice to 111 when i contact them again to get them to send him to a competent dentist
