I recently lost a partial front denture so rang the surgery to see if they could help me asap. They didnt have an appointment for a week, but advised I could be seen by another dentist privately. Within minutes Rumney Hill Dental Surgery rang me back with an earlier appointment (only had to wait 2 days). I saw Miles who in my opinion is the BEST dentist I have ever seen. I told him I was anxious about time off work (due to not wanting to go in with a front tooth missing), and he explained thoroughly what he could do for me. He advised that to have a partial denture made could take 5 or 6 appointments, but he pushed for the denture to be made and fitted within a week! I cannot thank Miles and the Staff enough for all the help they have given me! I am very happy patient - THANK YOU!

The efficient receptionists, the brilliant Dentist, Beth and the bubbly dental assistants Lisa & Lauren - they are a credit to the NHS. My husband and I have been private patients for many years, spending several thousands of pounds on various treatments. Since the splitting of the two practices, we have been extremely disappointed with the level of care. Financial considerations seem to dominate. Treatments that could be done in one appointment are spread over several and a sizeable deposit is expected upfront for each even if the treatment is scheduled for weeks in advance. A 30 minute checkup lasting less than 5 mins was charged in full. A follow up (30 min) appointment at the clinic next door lasted less than 10 minutes, including x rays, and was charged in full. I was left in pain for more than 2 weeks as the antibiotics prescribed did not clear the infection. I requested another appointment as a matter of high importance due to consistant pain, but was offered the same date as my original appointment 8 days later. I went to the “My Dentist” surgery on Countisbury Avenue where I was offered an immediate consultation and appointment to deal with the issue. The infection was still there 2 weeks on. I had an extraction rather than the prolonged treatment plan offered at Rumney Hill and will now have a dental implant. The receptionists at Rumney Hill were always very caring and obliging, and I cannot fault their efforts. The reception staff at My Dentist are equally impressive, the difference between the surgeries being the provision of speedy clinical care and the want to ensure patients are free from pain. We have transferred to My Dentist ( slightly cheaper by the way) and I have been delighted by the most caring and empathetic approach of all the staff,

Exceptional level of service from reception to the dental work itself. Arguably one of the best practices in the region. I’d honestly ignore the negative reviews as some can be demanding and blame the world for anything. I have no vested interest in saying a practice is good for the sake of it. My numerous visits have been extremely well received. Well done all involved.
