If I could give this dentist zero stars I would. I have been with this dentist for a long time & I have struggled to get appointments since covid. I was told they'd "be in touch" for a routine check up - that was 5 years ago - & despite me phoning to get check ups restarted, I'd always be fobbed off with dentist staffing issues. I have had a lot of issues with my wisdom teeth for the past decade & despite me asking to get them removed, they have always fobbed me off with how risky it is. They told me years ago that I was on the waiting list to get them removed which is what I had asked for. However, this week I had an emergency appointment with a Robert Purvis, who, when I asked where I was on this so-called list, proceeded to tell me that I wasn't even on the waiting list at all! I was utterly gobsmacked to be told this as I'd been told by multiple different dentists at the practice over the years that I was on the list & that these things took time. I also found his attitude to be extremely dismissive when I was explaining the pain & discomfort I was in. He was very blasé about it all & told me to "rinse with saltwater" whilst the dental nurse walked over to the sink area by the window rolling her eyes at my teeth issues - a "Here we go again. Not another one" kind of attitude. Do NOT waste your time & go to this practice! They have gone downhill massively. They do not care about the health of you & your teeth. You only get one set of teeth for your adult life, do not leave them in the hands of this awful place! Take your business elsewhere, they do not deserve your custom!

This practise I have been with for years. It has gradually declined in service over the years resulting in a high turnover of staff and currently only employing one dentist across its 3 treatment rooms. The feeling of somewhere overwhelmed is apparent and very uncomfortable. Book ins are blamed for only half treatments being done and appointments are cancelled regularly, resulting in 6months plus long waits for the patient. I have personally been waiting over a year for a procedure that has twice been cancelled. Promoting private work and putting nhs treatment into over a year waiting list for procedures. I would not recommend a visit to Stoneyfield dental surgery unless you are willing to wait a very long time for any remedial works.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff, the dentist was excellent and sorted my problem out know bother, just a pity the dentist is a locum their is know full time dentist, check ups are done 12 monthly.

Ever since Stuart Fobb and his team left this practice, it has seriously gone down hill. Was due my 6 month check up today at 2.50pm only to turn up and find out there was not a dentist available today. When did I get a text message to inform me of this cancellation.....only 5 mins before said appointment. Common courtesy obviously not high on the agenda for this practice, I had to rearrange my work schedule for this appointment then they cancel at the last minute. Asked if I could make a further routine check up appointment only to be told nope as the current dentist is retiring!! If I have an emergency dental problem then I can phone at 9am on the day to hopefully be seen by a dentist.

Someone needs to have a word with the receptionist about her phone manner, awful! Made for a very awkward conversation & was very blasé & not very welcoming, almost as if it was an inconvenience I was calling. I need an appointment asap but feel uneasy calling back if I have to deal with this particular receptionist again. Is there an email I can contact to try book an appointment.

I am very happy that we have waited to see a dentist at Hazel House Dental Clinic. We have appointment times to fit around my children's exams, later in the year. Thank you!
