I had issues with an abcess and went to crescent dental as it was the only dentist that would see me not only did I get my abcess sorted I got a treatment plan to sort my teeth out I have 5 missing teeth mostly at the front and on my upper jaw and a couple on the bottom jaw including a remaining part of a molar ,to be honest I've tried to get NHS dentists over the past few years with no joy and have also been on the school of dentistry list for over two years which is a complete joke so in a way sort of glad I got the abcess otherwise I probably wouldn't have went to the dentist the dentist I seen was James he was actually was leaving for the day when I phoned in abasolute agony ,the reception said they were fully booked and more than likely wouldn't be able to see me as the Dentist was going home early that day and had to meet people but she asked me to wait for a moment ,when she came back she said could I get there in the next 10 to 15 mins I said yes as I was only a few minutes walk away from my office at Shaftsbury square ,so I walked up past the Botanic train station to the practice ,James confirmed that I had an abcess Numed the gum drilled into the tooth and drained the abcess which gave me instant relief ,I was then able to go the next day and enjoy two days in England as my company brought us accross for our Christmas dinner ,on my return I had a follow up appointment to review a treatment plan ,James has taken me through every step in language that I could understand without any jargon I now have a whole day appointment booked on the 20th of February 2025 initially to get all of my worn teeth which is most of them due to me having tooth loss for many years and chewing with the teeth that I did have at the front of my jaw ,the molars that I did have at the back had no aposing opposite on the other jaw that's why I couldn't chew at the back ,so all the worn teeth will be reconstructed and the bottom left pre molar removed ,once this initial work is done I will be getting the rest of my teeth replaced ,yes it is a few thousand but James has treated me very well and has even offered me an £800 discount if I pay over the duration of the treatment or If I preferred he will put me on a payment plan and let me pay it interest free which I thought was absolutely superb my treatment will take around 4 months in total so I'm going to try and pay it as I go to get the extra money off , I have taken the time to write this as I have felt very down about my teeth for more than 10 years now and I haven't wanted to smile to be honest with you I've probably been very depressed and imbarrised and my confidence hasn't been the same and when I look back now and think how much money that I have blown over the past ten years I could have paid for my teeth 10 times over but chose not to because of the expense but yet today I still have no teeth feel sad and am no further forward until now and I've caught myself on through having the misfortune or the way I'm looking at it fortune of having the abcess to actually be with the right person who treated me very well ,I have never seen more state of the art equipment all in one room from digital 3D scanners both hand held and stand behind full head/jaw along with the x-ray machines James also was looking through like a set of binoculars connected to a camera while working in my mouth they also had there very own milling machine to construct their own crowns ,absolutely state of the art so ,I am going to tighten my belt over the next few months and not spend money the way I was which will let me pay for my new teeth and to fe fare it gave me a wake up call and I've given myself a shake as I think I was in a bit of a rut drinking a few to many beers with a few wine at the weekends maybe like a lot of people and there is no harm in having a few drinks and kicking the heels up but I think I was on the hamster wheel and had the blinkers on Probably if I'm honest not exercising enough or looking after myself now I have a focus to get my teeth fixed I have added some photos of my teeth you

I went to Crescent on the 22/01/24, there was a miscommunication and I turned up on a day the practice was closed. Dr Hurson drove an hour in to meet me anyway and nurse Poppy came in from her training course. The care they provided is some of the best I’ve ever received, Dr Hurson was kind and patient and an absolute master of his craft. This place is a hidden gem, replete with incredible tech and a serious focus on patient care. I would be happy to recommend to anyone!

I rang Crescent Health today to enquire about getting a treatment with the clinic after not having heard back from emails before Christmas. I found CH online and saw that they were rated highly on multiple platforms so was confident they would be a good choice. Unfortunately, after speaking to the Practice Manager Kirsty on the phone this is no longer the case. Kirsty was very abrupt, unwilling to answer my questions and clearly wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. Her tone was quite flippant and rude and I was shocked that a Manager would speak to a potential new patient in this way. I will not be giving Crescent Health my custom and would not recommend them (from a customer services standpoint) to anyone else.

I have been to a number of dentists through the years due to relocation. I am now back with Crescent Dental thankfully! Jim Hurson is an exceptional dentist, the best dentist I've been to. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Crescent Dental Health for 10+ years. When the word Dentist was mentioned I got a cold shiver down my spine. Crescent Dental Health was recommended by a former colleague of mine. After over 15+ year of not going to the Dentist, I picked up the courage to go. I found that I was put as ease straight away. Jim explained everything to me, took his time with me and didn't rush through any procedures. After numerous visits, I am not nervous anymore even though I still don't look forward to it. My teeth are in far better condition now. If you are nervous and haven't gone to the Dentist in years because of this, give Crescent Dental Health a call. You won't regret it.

I attended here for emergency treatment after my usual dentist was unable to see me. Jim diagnosed and treated my problem within minutes of attending. The service and treatment I received here was exceptional. I was highly impressed with the facilities and treatments offered. I would 100% recommend this dental practice to anyone.

I developed an abscess which was so painful no matter how much pain relief I took the pain didn't change, my own dentist told me the tooth would have to be taken out and sent me home with antibiotics to clear up the infection and then come back in a few weeks, I could not stand the pain any longer couldn't sleep or eat, Cresent dental health took me within hours of contacting them and worked around my time schedule to get me an appointment, Jim sorted out the infection straight away and I didn't feel a thing and I'm now 2 months down the line and still haven't felt a thing a thing since, he was able to treat the tooth so I didn't have to get it taken out which was even better. Couldn't recommend Cresent dental health enough it's the only place I'll be going from now on for dental care
