Terrible Service! I tried to cancel an appointment and no one answered the phone! Phoned 3 times! Then they made me another appointment without my say-so and I phoned up again to change the appointment and no one answered! I phoned 3 times again! Now they de-registered me I missed the appointments!

Honestly diabolical and really upsetting. I attend 6 monthly check ups, I pay for NHS treatment, last May 2024 Javier noticed a chipped tooth at the back. I was advised ‘to leave it’. Within a few weeks it had broke further, I contacted the dentist and was advised he was on annual leave. Rang back again, ended up being sent to Bulwell. They apparently couldn’t do a filling as I wasn’t their customer so they put in some temporary stuff. By now a couple months had passed, after trying to call, I emailed too, to get an appointment. The next time I was seen was by 2 dental nurses as again Javier wasn’t in the business. They advised me they couldn’t do a filling not prescribe antibiotics. Not sure what the point in the appointment was, the girls were nice and sympathetic but it was a waste of time. Eventually, earlier this year, saw Javier who advised it’s gone beyond a filling (that he could have and should have done last May) and that unfortunately he wasn’t ’skilled enough’ to do route canal and I’d have to go private!!!!! But it also may not work. In between this I’ve been back and forth having to get antibiotics as it keeps flaring up. Again I’m having to PAY FOR ALL THESE APPOINTMENTS!!! And prescriptions!!! I even had to visit Bulwell AGAIN for antibiotics as Javier again was away and no one at Brightsmile could prescribe me with any. Anyway fast forward and this week I’ve had to had my tooth extracted, I’ve been on so many courses of antibiotics over the past couple of months, I even bought some from Spain cause it’s been that much of a pain trying to get some, The area is still infected, I rang today for more antibiotics, I’m also now pregnant which is distressing and worrying having an infection, but Javier of course is not in today and not available until Tuesday. I’m properly annoyed and disgusted with the service and the attitude of this, I’m GUTTED I’ve lost a WHOLE TOOTH when he could have mended the chip early 2024. I’ve spent a lot of money and wasted a lot of work time going back and forth to Carlton to bulwell to pharmacists, when I have some energy I will be contacting the ombudsman and lodging a formal complaint. The receptionists and the nurses have all been lovely and apologetic and have tried to help the best they can. As soon as I’m able to I will be moving dentists. Disgusting

Amazing service. Both Javier and Carolyn are fantastic at their jobs and are brilliant at putting patients at ease. Any nervousness goes straight out the door when you are with them. Totally recommend to anyone. Also, would just like to add to offset the negative reviews about the attitudes of any staff, that I have seen so many people in the waiting room being rude and impatient for absolutely no reason. The practice is so overworked and busy with a waiting list that is months long, so they are honestly just trying their best to accommodate everyone. Service workers are people too! I've never been treated rulely by any of the receptionists, so maybe patients should try fixing their bad attitude instead :)

Terrible service. I had an appointment booked months in advance and really needed to see a dentist. There was a traffic accident in the local area which meant I arrived 7 minutes late. I tried calling twice to let them know about the accident but nobody answered. When I arrived 7 minutes late because of the accident the dentist had already gone home for the day without calling me. Absolutely appaled with this service.

Both Javier and Carolyn are brilliant. As someone with a huge fear of going to the Dentist, I couldn’t ask for anyone better. Javier has always made me feel calm about anything I have needed. Explains everything so I know what’s going on. I had Carolyn downstairs for the first time today and she is just as lovely! Seriously cannot recommend them enough, thank you guys!!

I have been registered with this dentist for almost a year now and Iv had 3 visits, one was an emergency yesterday. Javier is my dentist and definitely one of the best dentists in this city, he has helped me over come my dentistry fear, he has been a true professional on every visit. The receptionists are also lovely and very helpful. Iv seen some bad reviews on the Asian lady, Iv always found her to be very helpful she really went out of her way to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment yesterday. 5* clinic in my opinion

Almost everything is good here; except the attitude of the Asian receptionist. Had really good sessions with Dr Javier. The usual receptionists are good too. But, it's the odd bit that makes the frustration. Being an Asian as well, I'm ashamed to point out that the Asian receptionist makes things sour. She is rude and arrogant; she even claim that she "has all the authority on the doctors except doing the treatment". Fabulous

Been using this dentist for around 3 years now and had nothing but good service from Javier and the team. I trust the dentists advice and he’s always been good with time keeping and advice.
