Never thought I would be leaving a five star review for a Dentist! I was literally petrified but the moment I walked in the room Shirin and Jay put me at ease. My tooth had cracked the previous day and I was booked for an emergency appointment. Shirin and Jay talked to me from start to finish explaining what my options were and encouraging me to make the decisions as to what treatment was best for me. The tooth had to be removed as it couldn’t be saved and the procedure was over so quickly. It’s been 4 days now and I’ve so far had no bruising or pain. Shirin and Jay were made to work together, they bounce off one another and have a special caring manner that would calm the most nervous patients (like me). They are both fantastic ambassadors for Blossom family dental and I only wish they took NHS patients as routine customers. One very satisfied patient.

I’d not been to the dentist for a good number of years due to moving around a lot, and started suffering with severe toothache a few weeks ago. I called 111 for an emergency appointment, and Blossom were more than willing to see me and help me out. I was booked in for an extraction as I chose that over root canal. The speed, care, and advice given was 5 star — the dentist and nurses were excellent, informative and understanding.

She has a calm and reassuring presence that immediately put me at ease. She took the time to explain every step of the process clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. Her attention to detail and gentle approach were outstanding, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients’ wellbeing. Shirin combines professionalism with warmth, and it makes a world of difference. Emily was also wonderful — supportive, friendly, and attentive, helping the appointment run smoothly from start to finish. Together, they make an amazing team. I’m grateful for the excellent care I received and highly recommend Shirin and Emily to anyone looking for a thoughtful, skilled, and compassionate dental experience.

My daughter, a student living away from home, was referred to this surgery by NHS Direct for an emergency dental appointment after she tripped and broke her front tooth. She attended the appointment alone, and I was deeply concerned by the experience she described afterwards. She arrived 40 minutes early, yet watched other patients who arrived later be seen before her. She was eventually called in 20 minutes after her scheduled time, with no explanation or apology. The customer service was poor and dismissive throughout. The female dentist was condescending and repeatedly commented on how much the treatment would cost if my daughter were a private patient. She also said she was running late, which seemed to justify rushing through the procedure. My daughter was told the cosmetic result might not be ideal, and no aftercare advice was provided. The repaired tooth had rough edges and chips — and it fell out later that same evening. The following day, my daughter saw a private dentist at a different surgery. The difference in care was striking. She received the same treatment, but with professionalism, compassion, and proper aftercare guidance. The tooth was smooth, secure, and she was reassured she could contact them with any concerns. Almost a month later, she’s still happy with the result. It’s clear that this surgery prioritises private patients. If NHS patients are going to be treated as second-class, they should not be accepted at all. As a young student already feeling self-conscious, this experience left her feeling dismissed and upset. I hope others read this and understand that the glowing reviews may only reflect the private side of the service. Our experience was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this surgery to anyone seeking respectful or quality care through the NHS.

My dentist Shirin and nurse jay are absolutely amazing! They made me feel so at ease and no matter how many questions I had they was more then happy to answer I went in with low confidence in my smile/teeth and left with a smile I can’t stop showing off! Such a beautiful dental practice with amazing staff!!
