I chipped my front tooth back in June during the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown. My previous practice told me they wouldn’t be doing any permanent treatment until the national COVID level had gone from 3 to 2, so thinking that it wouldn’t be too long I decided to wait it out. Fast-forward over 3 months, I read a report back in September stating that the level would be going up from 3 to 4, so I decided I wanted to get my tooth fixed before we went into another national lockdown. After a referral from a friend, I immediately enquired with Oakwood. Their service was brilliant, I initially called on the Wednesday and was seen by Hennie (the dentist), the very next day. He gave me a variety of options for the tooth that included another filling, or an EMAX Crown; in simple terms this is where they scan your other front tooth and make a complete copy of it so both are matching. I opted for the crown and was back in 3 weeks later. After a few hours in the dental chair the process was complete in a relatively pain-free manner, I think the results speak for themselves in the pictures. If you’re like me and don’t exactly enjoy trips to the dentist, then I 100% recommend Oakwood, their approach to dental care is second-to-none, and the staff make you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door, even in a COVID secure manner. I am an extremely nervous patient, the sleepless nights before, needing to psych myself up to arrive, shakey hands, racing heart, close to tears, the full works. However, this is the first time in many, many years I have regularly been to the denist for checkups and had work done and tried to face the fears and that is solely down to the care and compassion of Oakwood Dental Practice. I moved to them about 18months ago having seen reviews about their care for the anxious patienrs-And they weren't lying! Anna (dentist) couldn't be more kind to me if she tried, and works very hard at easing my anxieties and ensuring any work is pain free. The ladies at reception desk also go above and beyond too in supporting the process to be as smooth as possible. All the symptoms I described above are still there. However, I do still go and that's solely down to them. Never any judgement, only care. I would 100% recommend, they will look after you.

Absolutely fantastic dental practice. I was referred by my current dentist for a tooth extraction. The reception staff, dental nurse and dentists were all really reassuring, I was incredibly nervous and the dentist really put my mind at ease. 10/10 to everyone- I’d 100% recommend the practice. Really good! Dr Hennie and Dr Harry are amazing. They take their time and make u feel comfortable, especially good when you get the nerves when going to a dentist. I couldn't be more impressed with the experience! The clinic is new and modern with easy parking.
