21/07/25 Thank you Dr.Afzal and his assistant for their patience and reassurance during my treatment today. I was incredibly anxious as I don’t like needles and they kept me at ease throughout the whole process of getting my filing done.

Absolutely brilliant I used to be scared to go the dentist but Mr Afzal is so kind and professional I reccomend 100 per cent best dentist I have ever had. Also very accommodating regarding appointments

I mean I have been visiting dr Afzal from childhood and I have to say he is amazing. HOWEVER his RECEPTIONIST is very unprofessional, BURPING on the phone, not letting me get my REQUEST in I didn’t even ask the question about my child she said oh sorry our lists are too busy regardless of my child visiting the dentist with me BEFOREHAND. IM SORRY but a great dentist like DR AFZAL needs a PROFESSIONAL RECEPTIONIST not a RUDE one.

⭐ 0 Stars — Completely Awful, Unprofessional Receptionist I’ve never left a negative review in my life — but this experience was awful enough to warrant one. My dad called to ask a straightforward question about appointment availability, but the receptionist’s behavior was totally unacceptable. If basic courtesy is too much to ask, why work in a patient-facing role? • Rushed and unclear: She rushed through appointment times without explaining which dates they were for, then sounded totally irritated when asked to clarify. • Unprofessional behavior: She repeatedly put my dad on hold but without any explanation or warning — not even a simple “please hold.” In the background, we could hear her laughing and chatting about her personal life so loudly. When she finally came back, she was abrupt and dismissive, leaving my dad confused — especially as a pensioner who needs more time to process the information. • Lack of patience: When my dad politely asked for the times to be repeated more slowly, the request was met with clear frustration. No patience or empathy. She acted like he was an inconvenience. • Completely unacceptable service: Basic manners — like explaining a hold, slowing down when asked, or confirming a booking — are the bare minimum in any customer-facing role, especially healthcare. Frankly, a primary school child could’ve handled the call with more professionalism. The receptionist urgently needs training on how to speak to patients with respect and empathy — or to reconsider whether this role is the right fit. I am sorry to leave this review but shocked by what I heard today and how uncomfortable it was to listen to

I was recommended by my girlfriend to visit Dr Afzal....He is definitely the best Dentist I've visited....He is very Patient and fully explains the different procedures....and his work is excellent...The dental nurse and receptionist are so polite and friendly aswell....Thank you PaulG..

So nice to see that Dr Afzal is still a dentist, I first went to him when I was around 12 years old, I continued to see him until I was in my late 30's, I moved then so had to switch to a different practice which has been ok but they keep changing dentists which doesn't help when you have anxiety and more recently one of their dentists caused me to have panic attacks because I have certain health conditions and she insists on leaning me back too far in the chair. Anyway, there was only 2 issues that I ever had with Dr Afzal during the years I was registered there, wish I could go back there but I live too far away sadly.

Moved to Nottingham 20 years plus. I have been a patient at this dentist ever since. I receive the best care from Dr Afzal and his staff. They are always polite and willing to accommodate with an appointment especially if you have an emergency. I have recommended this dental surgery to my close friends all my family still go to him even though they have moved out of the area. The prices are affordable and his advice regarding your dental treatment is second to none. I don’t know what I would do if he ever retired. If there were a higher star rating he would definitely 👍🏽 get it 💯 percent.
