I had to get a broken tooth extracted last Wednesday at St Dunstan's Dental Practice. The tooth had been decaying for years, and I’d kept delaying the extraction. By the time I went in, it was in pieces and had to be cut out, so it wasn’t an easy job. I was really lucky to be referred to Dr Aisha Alshawaf, a fantastic dental surgeon who patiently worked through all the bits of my broken tooth. She gave clear feedback, reassurance, and guidance at every step of the procedure. Honestly, it’s the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental practice, premier class experience, a grand thank you.

I was born in Everton, Merseyside. The terraced back to back houses had an out side lavatory, no bathroom and no hot water. As a Scouse kid and teenager I never met a dentist until I had toothache. The response was always an extraction After chewing a numerous number of Everton mints, and with no dental inspections, the status of my dentition declined at an early age. By the time I reached my 65th birthday I refused to smile, and could no longer ingest crusty bread. My lower incisor teeth had worn away , only tiny stubs of dentine could be seen. Because I had toothache in my twenties my right side lower molars had been extracted, no discussion at that time of crowns or root fillings. My lateral incisors tooth was missing, and my remaining molars could no longer crush and grind food. Mastication was difficult. A colleague recommended a visit to St Dunstans Dental practice. I did not expect my dentist Ian Ian small to offer me a restoration programme. He carefully explained what could be achieved and the costs involved. His professional skills are amazing. I am now the proud owner of one implant, my lower incisors have veneers, and my left side molars shine with golden crowns. I can now eat crusty bread, and even risk an Evertonian smile. In summary, I am really pleased to recommend St Dunstans Dental services , a helpful reception team and first class dental care from Ian Small.

Very professional hygienist, who was thorough and thoughtful. I had a lump in my mouth which was checked and I was reassured that it was not serious, it was also checked by the dentist- great service by both. Would certainly recommend.

About time I wrote a review! For years this practice has shown me care and sensitivity - always welcoming, always skilled and efficient. Sam and Aisha have been so supportive that I have completely forgotten my phobia of 20 years ago. A trip to the dentist or hygienist is (almost!) a delight, now. Thanks to both of you and to your assistants. Several years later and after some specialist help from Ali at the practice I can reinforce my opinion of this excellent place. Very impressive skills and coordination between experts. Thank you. 2025. I'm reposting this review and adding a few more comments:- Some of my teeth may not last as long as I do, but whatever happens, this team will have a practical plan so I'm not worried about the future - I'm in good hands.

I have been using this dental practice for the past 28 years. I have had extensive bone grafting and implant treatment with Mr Small who is extremely knowledable, proffessional and will choose the right dental treatment for you rather than trying to sell unnecessary expensive options. Highly recomended.
