I am extremely disappointed with the experience I have had with this dental practice. After being forced to cancel an appointment due to my third case of tonsillitis — while also on antibiotics — I was placed on the waiting list. This was completely understandable at the time, as no reputable dental practice would proceed with treatment when a patient is unwell with an active infection. I remained on the waiting list for nearly two years. I was then contacted by the practice and informed that an appointment was available, and if I rang back on Monday, it could be secured for me. I followed these instructions exactly. However, upon calling, I was told the appointment was no longer available as it had been given to someone else. I was placed back on the waiting list, with no timeline for when I might be seen. Seeking clarity, I asked to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, the manager’s response was highly unprofessional. I was spoken to in a patronising and condescending manner, which I found both upsetting and unacceptable. I was then told that the information I had previously been given was incorrect and had come from a trainee — yet at no point was I informed of this when I received the original call. The combination of poor communication, disorganisation, and a complete lack of respect for patients led me to remove myself from their waiting list entirely. Patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, honesty, and professionalism — not as just another number. I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking to be treated with dignity and respect.

Very polite and friendly and everyone makes you feel welcome. Always very clean and tidy, waiting room is filled with useful information. The dentist himself is very thorough and gives you options when talking about treatment rather than making a decision for you. My children feel at ease here too which is a very big thing for me. Outstanding service!

Used this dentists for over 40 years without the slightest problem. Stuart sold up and gone, and oh dear. Got kicked off the dentists books 18 months ago due to apparently missing 3 appointments in 2 years, admitted to 2, suffered a bleed on the brain at the time and was prone to bouts of severe depression and anxiety etc, yep just an excuse, but its a good one. I emailed the practice explaining my situation and got a reprieve from the lady whom to be fair was very sweet and understanding, after explaining the whole situation. Phoned up for an emergency appointment due to an infection last week causing a lot of pain, phoned the dentist to be told im off the books again, again explained the situation in detail, and decided to pop up to show emails etc. Arrived to see the girls, one of whom ive known years, all very sweet. Was met by the husband of the wife (owners) who had emailed me, and was spoken to very rudely by him in front of customers and staff for over ten minutes, still shocked by this to be fair and surprised at myself for tolerating it. But being in pain I needed help. Got an appointment a day or two later, and drew the short straw and got the same chap who remonstrated with me. Really do find the chap unbearable, x ray revealed an infection under my crown, im clearly in pain when him touching it. Then he explains my infection under my crown cant be done on the NHS and knows someone to refer me to, obviously his mucker (kickbacks), costing a £1000, and he will drill the other tooth and try and save it, but very negative regards this. I get an appointment for 6 weeks time, but his mucker called me before I got in the car to get me to spend a grand! No antibiotics offered, unbelievable. So after considering my options ive decided id rather run my head through a wall than go back to him, take me off the books forever, not interested, shocking way to treat anyone, let alone someone on their 60th trip around the sun! Served 22 years in the forces to receive this treatment NO THANK YOU!! Spoken to several locals not happy with the current owners, its a massive thumbs down from me. We all know areas of the NHS are rubbish, looks like this practice has become a prime example, and the chap who runs it is a huge disappointment!!

Removed my review for some reason, chap that owns it now is rude. Didnt offer me antibiotics for swollen and infected abscess, was told he cant treat on NHS, referred me to his friend who called me before I got in the car, asking for £1000. Been a oatient here for 40 years, absolute shame that it’s been took over by this chap. Take me off the books, I’d sooner my teeth fall out!!

My experience with team members from this practice is outstanding. The receptionists are always helpful and go above and beyond to support you. The dentists are thorough, kind and very personable. We all know how important it is to be made to feel at ease. Thank you for all you do!
