If I could I would give no stars. Please do not waste your time going here. I am appalled. I had an appointment booked in for the 25/11/2025, but I missed it and I totally forgot about it due to being short staffed at work, Normal mistake. As soon as I had the message that I missed the appointment, I rang the dentist apologised repeatedly and tried to explain what happened and I got an appointment for the 15/12/2025 but due to my wisdom teeth causing me lots discomfort I booked an emergency appointment as advised by my dentist the previous time. I called up and had a receptionist called karen answer the phone who told me I had two appointments for the 15th of December and I mentioned that I didn’t realise as I had no communication from them about my appointments. She said that she was going to cancel one as I am taking up their availability which I understand, and she booked me in for today. I attended and seen the dentist called Sadia. I explained the discomfort I was having with both my lower wisdom teeth and she said ‘you would not normally get both pains at the same time’ so she was questioning my pain… and all she said was that I would have to have a follow up and take antibiotics. I explained to her that it’s stopping me from sleeping and she said ‘take pain killers’. Then I went downstairs to book an appointment and ask for the 15th of December to be cancelled as I work in a hospital and need to use annual leave or toil for appointments and currently have none. I spoke to a younger girl about the appointment and karen got involved and said that I kept ‘changing my appointments’ it’s not my fault if a date is inconvenient- it’s better for me to change than not turn up. Then karen said that the dentist wasn’t happy because I didnt turn up for my last appointment. I was appalled. I apologised again and said that I totally forgot but I explained to her that I was upset with the tone and what’s said. She then gets argumentative and said she’s only doing her job and what her manager tells her, which I get, but you wouldn’t tell a patient that the dentist is unhappy with them, as in my place of work we wouldnt tell our patients that the clinician wasn’t happy they didn’t turn up for their appointments, it’s just not professional. She continues to talk over me and become verbally aggressive and I tried to stay calm and she accused me of being ‘rude’, I said to her ‘I’m not being rude but mistakes happen and I admit I forgot but you don’t need to make me feel guilty and continue carrying on like this’. She begins shouting at me and a couple of ladies in pink uniform came out and asked what’s going on and I explained what karen said and then karen said that she never said that and I’m mixing her words. She said to me that I’m on camera and I said get the footage up because she did say it and she’s blaming the patient causing a scene. Been at this dentist 15+ years and have seen how the receptionists are to the patients and it’s disgusting. One of the girls in the pink uniform was making comments while I was trying to make my appointment such as ‘don’t know what’s the point in us being open because no one turns up’ I felt this was very aimed. Made me feel uncomfortable. The other lady in the pink uniform said ‘why are yous still going on when there are patients around’ and karen was sitting there saying she’s had enough with me and hates her job sick of it. Then karen accuses me of dirty looking her when I wasn’t looking in her direction and begins to argue again! I asked to make a complaint and karen said she will be making a complaint about me, I felt like I was banging my head off a brick wall so I booked my appointment and left the practice in tears only to receive a message 5 minutes later to say I have been deregistered!!!! Absolutely disgusting. So unprofessional and rude. Shouldn’t be on the front desk and the face of the company if that’s how you are going to treat people. They are always sitting at the reception talking badly about patients. Dentists don’t have a clue what they are doing! Steer well clear

My first dentist visit in a very long time, receptionists were so friendly and approachable made me and my dad feel very calm. Brilliant service and very happy to travel that bit further to receive the care and compassion these staff give.

I recently took my one-year-old son for his first dental check-up, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. While the receptionists were welcoming and kind, the dentist herself was quite rushed and inattentive. She barely acknowledged my son, and when we went into the room, there was no effort to comfort him or make him feel at ease. She immediately seemed focused on finishing quickly and even shouted out to her colleague to wait for her as she’ll be quick which made the whole situation feel rushed and stressful. My son was understandably scared and cried throughout the appointment, and despite my efforts to soothe him, the dentist became frustrated and insisted that I hold him firmly. In the end, she barely examined his teeth, as he was too upset to cooperate. The entire visit lasted only a couple of minutes, and it left me feeling that my son’s comfort and wellbeing were not prioritised. I hope the practice can improve their approach with young children in the future.

Karen and Sonya , breath of fresh air !! I'm new to the practice and what a breath of fresh air it is to walk into 2 friendly faces on reception. The reception has been very busy on both occasions when I've attended but both receptionists clearly work hard yet still have time for a smile and a welcome for everyone. I've sat today and watched people attend with disabilities and language barriers and both ladies went above and beyond to help. A quick and easy sign up. Fast to be given an appointment. Its great to see a practice taking on NHS patients. Dental care has been great and I have now moved both my son and husband over to the practice too. Highly recommend. ''My Dentist'' i hope you know what 2 gems you have on that front desk. You don't see customer service like that much these days and these ladies really are fantastic !!

Just been to an appointment today and couldnt get another appoinment at said dentist, even tho i had been registered before So it was good to get back to my orginal dentist, and had no problems at all, and just had to pop in to fill out another form and another appoinment was made for less than a week. So Thanks You to A SJ on the reception today - 10.9.25 . 15.10pm Went to grainger park dental practise, and women on the desk was a lovely women, was pleasant and friendly. Was able to make an appoinment as soon as possible Had been ringing all other dentists and werent accepting new nhs patients and on one was a four to five month waiting list, tho i have been registeres with this dental practise before, may have been an bonus, bit havent been in a long time, so wasnt sure if they would be able to help. As the reason i had not returned was becoz my orginal dentist fiona beddis has retired, and it was really hard after that to make an appoinment and wen i did have an appointment made, they werent very helpful at all, and u would turn up early and not been seen for a long time and if u were on time . As couldnt get there a abit earlier then u would of been turned away. So was nice to get an appointment booked and so easily and no problems at all.
