Haymans Green Dental Practice

I’ve just been for my six-monthly check-up at Bupa Hayman’s Green Dentist for which I am paying £316.20 per year. This buys you two check-ups and two basic hygiene visits per year. Any dental action beyond the check-up, of course, costs handsomely and extra. I am blessed with good teeth, I look after them and I have no problems at the moment. I reported as much as I sat down on Dentist Dan’s chair. There I sat for under two minutes. After a cursory examination, Dan sat back, advised that I had some plaque on the back teeth, and recommended flossing. I do floss and use interdental brushes but obviously I am not catching all of it. (My last hygienist appointment had been just a few weeks earlier, at Hayman’s Green.) I asked Dan if he could remove the very small quantity of soft plaque that he had identified. To be clear, we were under two minutes into my consultation and already I was up and off the chair. Dan said he couldn’t make this intervention. I asked him why, and mentioned that in my decades-long experience of going to dentists, the practitioner had always exerted himself to making me feel better about my teeth after any appointment than I had before the same appointment. This included brushing away small quantities of plaque while they were in my mouth anyway! However — and despite his expertise, vantage point and equipment, and the remaining time window of 28 minutes (appointments are allocated 30 minutes, of course) — Dan, like my plaque deposits, would not be moved. Lazy and uninterested, Dan made me feel just about as cash-cowish and unimportant as it is possible to feel. If you, too, want to feel this way, then the Hayman’s Green Practice might be for you. Otherwise, I advise that you take your self and your money somewhere else.

Used to be good until Bupa got hold of it, I phoned up in August with serve tooth pain and was told I couldn't get seen until 5th December! I obviously couldn't wait that long with serve tooth pain and no painkillers able to get rid of it. I ended up ringing around other dentists and managed to get one a few weeks later at another dentist and they are alot better and nicer to people who have trouble with dentists.

Having terrible problems with me teeth and when I called up to make an appointment, apparently I've been kicked out for a missed appointment. When I asked when this appointment was it was March 2020... They cancelled me because the country was in lockdown. When I asked to re-register they said they were now full! When I questioned all of this the snotty reply I got was "computer isn't wrong". But then proceeded to tell me my son had been referred to another practice for braces which he hasn't! Terrible treatment and I'm now left with booking emergency dentist and having teeth removed due to an infection when theres nothing wrong with the tooth but emergency dentist don't do root canal!

I was seen to by Chloe & Leah. Both were great with me and made me feel very comfortable in what can sometimes be quite a nervous experience. Great practice!
