I have been treated at Bearcross dental practice for around 10 years, I have always found them to be helpful friendly and professional.

I had an amazing experience with bearcross dental care,I came in with an extremely chipped tooth and they saw me with no hesitation, they were all so lovely and kind, asked me about all my medical history and really took the time to listen to my concerns with my teeth, and when it came to booking the appointment, their receptionist talysha was beyond helpful and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience

I had an extemely disappointing experience at Bear Cross Dental Practice, not due to the dental care itself but because of the agressive and unprofessional behavior of the reception staff and the practice manager. The practice called me this morning about a missed hygienist appointment which was due to the text message appointment reminders which confused me leading to the said missed appointment. For background, I have two consecutive appointments this morning and the first text reminder said about my appointment being at 11:20am which led me to think that that is the time I have to be there whether it be the dentist or hygienist first. I then received another text reminder and I thought it was just a duplicate of the first one so I did not bother reading it anymore. Knowing it was partly my fault, I was fully prepared to pay any associated fees and this is automatically deducted anyway to the deposit made, but also I simply wanted to clarify the situation about my confusion and about the whole situation as I dont want to have records of unnecessarily missing appointments for this was not the case but the receptionist response was so defensively hostile and would not give me any chance to explain. She spoke over me, and dismissed my attempts to clarify. The tone was so confrontational so I had to step back to avoid escalating it into an argument. I politely asked to call back hoping for a calmer interaction. Unfortunately, when I called back, the situation worsened. I spoke to a woman who identified herself as the practice manager, and her behavior was even more unprofessional. She refused to let me speak. Every time I asked how much the missed appointment fee is or confirm if I owed anything else, she accused me of "overtalking" her and insisted she was not done speaking. I remained calm throughout, but she told me to call back when I was "calmer" and abruptly hung up on me-an action I found utterly unacceptable for someone in a managerial role. Frustrated, I called again to ask how I could formally raise a complaint about the manager's conduct. Shockingly I was told I had to submit the complaint directly to the manager herself which is clearly inappropriate given her involvement . They refused to provide an alternative contact such as a more senior staff member. My husband also called wanting to speak to our dentist, him being part owner of the practice, and even requesting a callback when he is free to discuss the issue as we understand he can be busy at that moment. The receptionist flatly refused leaving me with no way to address my concerns directly with someone in authority. The dental care at Bear Cross Dental Practice may be adequate but the appalling customer service from the receptionists and manager overshadows everything else. Their aggressive, defensive, and dismissive behaviour- coupled with the manager's refusal to listen and her hanging up on me - made this one the first and worst experience I ever had with any healthcare provider. The lack of proper complaints process and their refusal to connect us with the dentist further eroded my trust in this practice. Im sharing this review here because I was left with no other avenue to voice out my concerns. I strongly urge the practice to address their staff's conduct and implement proper customer service training. Until then, I cannot recommend this practice and will not be returning.

Have been with the dentist some years, both the dentist and his wife who work on reception are lovely, they have never left me in pain as soon as I have a problem they see me and address the issue straight away, I’ve always found him a laugh as well, he’s very honest , he once asked me if I thought of getting a face lift, but I just thought I’ve not got to look at me lol, he’d be hurt if he thought he’d offended anyone and he doesn’t mean anything by it, the main thing is he is caring and excellent at his job

Dr Hossein Eftekhari Is honestly the rudest person Ive ever come across. He asked my mother immediately if she had gained weight. No hello, how are you. Following this he then caused her pain after she said no to what he was doing… he did it anyway OF COURSE she screamed and he had a go as a result. Also bare in mind he said also to dress smart for his appointments. Ridiculous. I have also visited him in the past and changed dentist due to how rude Dr Hossein Eftekhari is. You go to an appointment for a checkup and you leave with a whole procedure done that you REFUSE - he will do it anyway, poorly, AND overcharge you. Horrible HORRIBLE practice. Never go here.

This place is very unprofessional!!! My friend was a patient with this dental practice and he called to make an appointment, and was told he was no longer on there books. This was due to him not attending the practice within a 6 month period. He tried to explain that he has had a bad year due to finding out he has terminal cancer. The dentist told him that they could not do anything as the don't take on NHS patients, but will happily take him on private. When my friend tried to explain that he could not come due to being in hospital having radio therapy, and the reply from the dentist was " well we all have problems". This was a rude response!!! Now my poor friend has to try to find another dentist wislt undergoing more radio therapy. They will happily take your money, but not the NHS.. Sounds like they are fiddling there books.. Well rude..
