I have been coming here for years, but recently the dentist who always saw me left, and has been replaced by a different one. I had an appointment to replace a mouthguard for bruxism, that had been given to me on the NHS. I assumed that as the last one was available under the NHS, this one would be too, and no-one told me any differently before the impressions were taken and the mouthguard made. It transpired, when I came to pick up the mouthguard, that I was expected to pay £150 for it. I can't afford that, and never would have agreed to the procedure in the first place had I known how much it would be. The dentist pretended that she had explained the costs to me, and lied to cover up her mistake. The manager believed her over me, and I was not allowed the mouthguard, even though you'd think I would have been given that it had already been made specifically for me, and that (as the manager said) the practice would have to pay for it whether I took it home or not. They put the mouth guard in the bin on principal, which was incredibly petty and unfair. I miss the old dentist. At least he wasn't a liar.

I recently visited had an appointment with John. He was amazing and definitely knew what he was doing. I was really anxious about the procedure of a tooth extraction, but his calm demeanor helped immensely. As someone who has had bad experiences with dentists in the past and carries anxiety around any dental work, John was excellent. I highly recommend him
