I've been at this surgery my entire life, Dr Fink is an amazing doctor, but that's when you can actually gain access to his expertise. The reception on the other hand makes each and every interaction painful, they cannot sympathize at all and basic things such as getting back test results or getting fit notes is almost an impossible task. The last time I needed a fit note, I requested for one, 5 days later (too late), it wasn't even signed and they refused to get it signed for me, what do you know 2 days later I had to go into the surgery 3 times just to get them to do a fit note. I haven't heard back any of the results from the last 5 tests I've had done over the last couple of years, it's absolutely ridiculous, they almost make you feel guilty if you need something. Dr Fink for the love of god sort your reception team out, the surgery was great 7/8 years ago and now each inquiry is a chore, you have to chase them up just for anything to be done.

Thought i’d provide an update on later experiences. For the last couple of years, I have been trying to seek treatment for a reoccurring rash, in those two years I have only managed to see a GP three times to address this. The first appointment I gained a diagnosis, ensured it was easily treatable with cream bought from the pharmacy. I decided to try the recommended cream, it didn’t work. I spent the next year or so trying to arrange another appointment, eventually I managed to get one, I explained the cream hasn’t worked and wished to seek a more thorough treatment, this time around the doctor refused to prescribe anything to help and was left with nothing to resolve the problem. A few months ago, I managed to get a third appointment with a GP I had never seen before. Honestly, the only way I could describe possibly describe this person, is very intense. I explained the dilemma, my frustrations and that I had been informed previously by another doctor and a pharmacist that oral medication was the best option for this specific condition! For whatever reason she told me that she would not be prescribing any medication and for me to just “see how it goes” (it’s two years at this point!!). I let out a very light, calm sigh of disappointment at the situation, a perfectly reasonable and inoffensive action that any normal human being is entitled to express. In that moment she completely switched on me and became very passive aggressive, she began questioning my motives for sighing, and started asking me personal questions as if she was attempting to dive into my psyche and dissect it. It was a very uncomfortable experience and, although I’m only 25, I find young professionals not to be professional at all. Very dangerous to entrust your health unto somebody who cannot control their emotions. After 5 minutes of having to explain myself to her, she told me she would prescribe the medication to treat the rash, after making sure to make me feel guilty that is.
I took several trips to the pharmacy - she never prescribed the medication.
