Horrendous. Unfortunately needed fillings and root canal not long after having my son. They made me pay for the entire treatment (over £500) even with a maternity exemption certificate. Also told me that white fillings were not covered under the free maternity care. Now I’m at a new practise, they have informed me that all of that work is free with the certificate and that they just charged me because they wanted to. Diabolical. Avoid.

⚠️ DO NOT sign up here — careless, dismissive, and unprofessional. My experience with Andrew at Envisage Falkirk has been quite the mixed bag but the negatives outweigh his skills by a country mile.. Poor treatment, careless mistakes, and months of being ignored. Instead of fixing a sharp, broken filling properly, Andrew picked up the drill without warning or consent and created an even bigger gap — leaving food constantly trapped and making my problems worse. And I persistently told him so every check up. When I said I wasn’t happy, he brushed me off in front of a student with, “If you’re unhappy, just let me know.” The reality? I had been letting him know, for months. He just couldn’t care less. When I reached the point of saying I’d have to raise a formal complaint, he proudly declared — he said, “I won’t be responding”. Which matched his attitude to the problem. Until it became something "worthwhile" his time. This is from a dentist in a position of trust, telling a patient in acute pain that he has no intention of taking corrective measure to remedy the problem. That tells you everything you need to know about how complaints are handled here. Even worse, when I asked him to explain the poor quality of my fillings (which another dentist described as “very rough”), his response was simply: “It’s functional.” Functional? My teeth are cracked, I can’t floss without bleeding or shredding floss, and I live with a huge gap where food gets stuck every single day. That is not functional. That is failure. And it’s not just me. Please, if you’re thinking of registering here, read the other reviews: One patient described feeling extremely uncomfortable, their veneer cracked within 6 months, and they were told it had to be replaced — until another dentist fixed it without replacement. They too said Andrew lacked empathy, professionalism, and bedside manner. Another patient reported being scammed into private charges despite being told treatment would be NHS. They were left £700 out of pocket, given a poorly fitting denture that Andrew dismissed with a smarmy “looks good, you’ll definitely be back.” When they asked why they weren’t told it was private, Andrew said “it’s not my job to tell you.” The patient left “shaking and sick to my stomach,” still waiting for a refund months later. This is not one-off. This is a pattern: dismissive attitude, careless work, arrogance when challenged, and financial exploitation. I don’t normally post negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others: 👉 If you are nervous, need patience, or simply expect basic respect and professional standards — stay away. 👉 If you value your teeth and your wellbeing, do not sign up here at any cost. Your teeth are more important than anyone's ego

Dr Andrew is very skilled and friendly but the front desk is incompetent. I've booked two in a row 1-hour appointments and both times I was informed when I got there that they were only for 15 minutes. In addition to all these lost opportunities to treat my condition there was also a cancellation on the day of the appointment. It's now two months from my initial request and my tooth has serious started to ache. The administration part of the business is severely lacking and this is the reason I left the Practice. I would not recommend joining either.

Wow! I had an appointment with the hygienist today and she was just amazing along with everyone else. I had heavy stains from being a smoker and I enjoy the odd glass of red wine haha. I can honestly say my teeth have never been as white since I was in my twenties (I’m now in my sixties) I just wish I had got her name so I could mention her personally, cannot recommend this place any more highly thank you! Amazing! Btw I was thinking of getting veneers but since my teeth look so good now I’m having second thoughts lol x

My experience here was nothing short of disgusting. I feel scammed and extremely let down. When I first called to register I was told my first appointment would be booked as private then it would be nhs. I knew I needed a tooth out, filling and a bottom denture. When they set the treatment plan at no point did they tell me that it was private prices. So I had the work done. Wasn’t even in there an hour over 5 appointments at a cost of over £700. When having the denture fitted I wasnt even offered a mirror to look to see how it was. Andrew said that’s looks good but you’ll definitely be back. Yes I was back the denture was horrible! When I got home and saw it for the first time I was livid. When I spoke to a friend she told me what I paid was expensive for nhs. So I rang the dentist to come back in to sort this denture. First I question the cost and rhey told me that was private treatment I said why you told me the first appointment was private then nhs, receptionist said no I said it was the first treatment plan was private then nhs. This isn’t true and I would’ve never agreed to it as I’m on disability benefits due to autism and fibromyalgia. She said if you couldn’t afford it why have the treatment? It’s not about what I can and can’t afford it’s about the fact you’ve misled me. So into my appointment. First thing Andrew says is I said you’d be back and I said yeah no surprise there the denture is horrific! Why would I want this in my mouth it makes me not want to smile. It didn’t fit, teeth weren’t in line with top teeth and the quality of it cosmetically was nothing short of disgraceful. I also asked why nobody told me this was private treatment and he told me it wasn’t his job to tell me and the treatment plan lol who do I ask? The cleaning lady? Andrew is so patronising and rude I didmt want anymore work done there and asked for the cost of the denture to be refunded he said he’d speak to his area manager and get back to me. I handed it back and while walking out he said bye have a great day in a smarmy tone. Have a great day I thought lol you have no idea the anxiety and stress I deal with on a daily basis then you scam me are rude and obnoxious. I left there shaking and sick to my stomach. Then I thought area manager…. When previously there I asked the receptionist to speak to the practice manager and was told there wasn’t one just her if I had and issue. Now I find out there’s an area manager? Felt like they didn’t want me bringing my issues up with any management. This all happened in March and I’m still waiting for someone to contact me about the requested refund! Also the filling I needed work on was left till last and then I needed root canal treatment. Maybe if he filled this in instead of waiting 5 weeks I might not have had to have that at an extra cost. The nurses are about the only good thing about this practice. I would never set foot near there again!

I was in need of a new dentist when I moved to Falkirk years ago and I have always had the worst luck with dentists. That changed here, before I would get anxious and stressed and never felt like I new what was going on half the time. All my experiences here have always felt more in control and I feel free to ask questions about what I can expect and the dentists themselves are really down to earth giving you an honest answer and options on how they can proceed. I'd travel the breath of the country for the quality of service they offer, I can only imagine it will continue into the future.
