I never thought I'd say such positive things about visiting a dentist, but I really do love going to Hygeia. I sometimes feel like I'm in a luxury spa for my teeth rather than a dentist! The staff are so incredibly welcoming, they make you a coffee when you arrive if you want, and everyone remembers who you are. The quality of the dental care is also phenomenal. I have had some issues with my gums, and the amount of care and attention the team are putting into supporting this just blows me away. I have had experiences with dentists in the past of feeling shamed, but that is so far from what it's like at Hygeia. It's probably weird to say I look forward to going to the dentist, but I really do. Also I really hardly ever write google reviews, but the fact that I felt moved to for Hygeia is a testament to their amazing customer service, extremely high quality dental care, and the fact that they have taken a service that is generally pretty unpleasant and made me feel safe, supported and cared for.

I have been using this service recently and I am really impressed. Firstly, there is parking, which is rare for any dentist in Totnes! It's a tiny practice, just 1 dentist and 1 hygienist. The dentist is the kindest woman I have ever met. She's super thorough and is really gentle. I explained to the hygienist that I hadn't done this process in a long time and so I asked she talk me through what's happening as we go and she was excellent at doing this. It made me feel very reassured. It's mighty expensive, but I don't think that is exclusive to this practice, I think generally dental work is really expensive everywhere! Also the receptionist is super lovely and majorly organised, I feel very safe in her hands knowing she's on top of everything.

Two and a half years ago I registered with Hygeia Dental Care and requested a replacement full-denture. Necessarily taking several weeks to gradually perfect and complete, the new dentures are a revolution for me. From the beginning and through the whole involved and detailed process, I've received meticulous care at every stage. I would say that attentiveness and courtesy are the hallmark of this practice.

Having moved to South Devon from North London the first time I telephoned Hygeia to arrange a check up, the receptionist was most professional, I knew I was going to be treated well. When I arrived for the appointment I was pleased to find the Practice had its own car park. On entering I was pleased to find a comfortable air conditioned reception area. I was dealt with in a friendly and professional manner throughout my time there. The treatment I required was clearly explained to me with the options and estimates. Well done Hygeia.

When I first visited Hygeia Dental Care, initially for a broken front tooth, nearly 4 years ago, I didn't realise just how bad my teeth were overall. During that time, Jo and Debbie have completely transformed my teeth beyond recognition. I can smile again! My self confidence has returned! I no longer have feelings of fear/dread about a dental/hygiene appointment. In fact, I look forward to every visit. There's always a warm welcome from Louise the receptionist, coffee, tea and hot chocolate to enjoy while listening to classical music in the background. It really doesn't feel like a visit to a dental surgery, more like visiting a friend for a chat!
