Extremely Disappointed with Leighton House Dental Practice
I’ve had several treatments at Leighton House Dental Practice with Dr. Tahira Musani, including fillings, root canal, and hygienist appointments, and I’m deeply unhappy with the service. My recent hygienist appointment was the worst experience yet. Dr. Musani’s approach was unnecessarily rough, leaving me in pain with significant bleeding—something I’ve never experienced after a hygienist appointment. Despite raising my discomfort midway and asking her to be gentler, she showed zero empathy or patience, continuing as if my concerns didn’t matter. At one point, with sharp tools and four hands in my mouth, she even told me to “relax my lip,” which was absurd under the circumstances.
She later refused to proceed with my whitening trays, stating she didn’t feel “comfortable” because of how I spoke to her—despite me only politely raising my discomfort during the session. Her attitude is consistently short, blunt, and insincere, giving the impression that she just wants patients in and out as quickly as possible. There’s no genuine care, compassion, or customer service; it feels purely transactional.
On a previous visit, she misled me into thinking my NHS entitlement didn’t cover a root canal, pushing me towards private treatment instead. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable, especially for NHS patients.
That said, the dental nurse assisting her was absolutely spot on—professional, supportive, and understanding throughout the appointment. It’s unfortunate that the issue was entirely with Dr. Musani.
I’ve lost four hours of work due to these appointments, and the lack of professionalism and empathy from Dr. Musani has made me decide not to return. The manager, Cheryl, has promised to call me back on Monday, and I’ll update this review once I hear more. However, based on my experiences so far, I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Musani or this practice to anyone.
