I came to this dental surgery as a new patient for private treatment, where I'd normally had NHS treatment. Much like Amy's recent review, I was very surprised to learn that I'd need two fillings for the first time, when I'd kept up good dental hygiene. I had one expensive filling and was told I'd have to make another appointment for the second. I had a gut feeling something was wrong and checked the Google Reviews for the surgery, only to find Amy's 1-star review about being booked in for an unnecessary filling - so I postponed my second filling, and found an NHS dentist who gave me a second opinion. It seems I didn't need a filling after all - again, the same conclusion Amy's second dentist had come to. From my perspective, it seems as though private patients are being booked in for fillings they do not require, presumably so that they have to pay for a costly procedure. I will never now know if my initial filling was actually necessary, but am thankful that this surgery never got away with giving me a second. Aside from this, on each of my visits to the surgery, I found the reception staff cold, the surgery boiling, and waited up to an hour after my booked appointments before I was seen. During my filling, the surgeon discussed religious and other personal matters with a colleague which did not feel appropriate. Avoid!

I had an appointment as a new patient a month ago by Dr Alina. I waited for an hour (as well as being left alone with no receptionist in the waiting room) and the whole appointment was rushed in a clearly stressed environment. I appreciate the practice was busy and understaffed that day but it was not handled professionally. I was told that four teeth were decaying and that three would require fillings. This was very alarming to me. I couldn't believe that my teeth had deteriorated so badly. My last appointment at my old dentist was in October with no problems highlighted. Today I was very fortunate enough to find a NHS dentist instead of private at my old family dentist. I had a thorough discussion with the dentist there as he talked me through my X rays. There was not one single tooth that required a filling and no decay present. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted that I could have essentially paid over £400 for work that my teeth did not require. I am beyond grateful that I managed to get a second opinion and avoided being conned by this dentist. Avoid if possible.

Dr Alina isn’t just a dentist… she’s an ARTIST! When I was ready for my bonding I knew I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It had to be her! I’ve been coming to this surgery for over 20 years and I’ll never go elsewhere. All of the staff are delightful, from Ellie in reception through to nurse Sarah when you’re in the chair. Dr Alina has not only changed my teeth, but she’s changed my confidence and arguably my life too! I am absolutely OBSESSED with my new teeth. She listened to exactly what I wanted and created even better than I could’ve imagined.
