Dr. Madi Bratescu and Karen are the best medical dental practictioners I've come across in my life. The first thing I noticed is how sweet and caring Madi was towards me, she really took her time to read my medical questionnaire and clearly joined up the dots to work out I'm undergoing investigation for non related dental issues, but ones that link into the health of my bones/blood/immune system. It took a fair few shots of anesthesia to numb my jaw, by far this was the best ever dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Bratescu was like an artist at work, delicate, precise, passionate about what she does and for the first time ever I didn't feel lots of pain, not even from the initial numbing injection, as Dr. Bratescu had pre-numbed the gum area first. Throughout the procedure I kept thinking wow, this dentist is so thorough, full of professional courtesy, empathy and care. I wish all health professionals were like her. During the treatment I kept thinking I'm going to sign up to this dental surgery because this dentist is simply amazing, I don't care it's 9 miles from my home address. So thorough, so caring, professional and clearly a highly intelligent individual. My appointment was a NHS emergency type, which I paid the usual NHS fee for. Dr. Bratescu noticed abnormalities and made a referral then and there to have them further investigated and setup a follow up appointment. Unfortunately the elder lady on reception doesn't seem like the happiest person on earth, instantly told me no the dentist can't do that and came back less than 10 seconds after talking to the dentist and followed the dentists instructions. That outburst wasn't professional or necessary. I'm actually a working professional, so is my wife, after the service given by Dr. Bratescu, I actually wanted to sign up and be under the care of said dental practitioner, but the unhappy receptionist isn't someone I'm going to pay out my own pocket to see. The receptionist made no attempt to even try and see if I'm interested in being a private patient, total lack of drive towards customer acquisition/conversion from NHS to private. A shame, I would have actually signed up as a private client and signed my wife up too, but that boats sailed, unless of course Dr. Bratescu practices elsewhere too ☺️ Thank you Dr. Bratescu and Karen, and the practice manager who initially my wife spoke to, you are all great caring human beings and please continue to bless others with your courtesy, tact, professional integrity and kindness.
