I would strongly advise caution before booking any private dental treatments here. In 2023, I had six private composite fillings done by her, paying over £1,000 in total. 3 of which I was persuaded to do and in all honesty do not think were needed but I trusted Dr Amna K. Unfortunately, every single procedure felt extremely rushed, as though they were carried out within short NHS-style time slots; completely unsuitable for intricate private work. Within months, two of the fillings chipped unexpectedly, and about a year ago, one completely fractured along with part of my tooth. When I urgently contacted the surgery to request an emergency appointment, I was told the earliest slot was three weeks away ; despite explaining that I had a large, painful hole in my tooth. I was not offered any urgent alternative or referral. I then went to another fully private dentist, who carried out proper X-rays and a full assessment. They confirmed that: • The fillings were not cured properly, • Air gaps and moisture had been left underneath, • No dental dam or proper isolation technique was used, • And decay had begun to form underneath due to poor sealing and improper technique. As a result, every filling needs to be redone. I now face paying an additional £2,000 to correct the damage caused. This experience has not only caused significant pain and stress, but has also resulted in a major financial loss for me. It had taken time to make this review especially being in the health sector myself but I do think it is necessary for growth and for other patients to know. Please, please be careful before going here for private treatments. The rushed approach and poor workmanship have left me deeply disappointed and distrustful.

Disgustingly rude and patronising receptionist. Asked how much the appointment would be as i’m struggling financially at the moment and she started to laugh at me? You offer NHS services but laugh at people who need them? Asked for a price and she told me i should know, sorry? She was rude even in the initial call but i let it slide until it was actual unbearable in the follow up. I don’t know how anyone deals with her or how she’s even employed. What a disgusting, miserable, unprofessional, individual

Avoi avoid avoid…I used to be patient at this clinique. They don’t have the same dentist anymore. I went there and they charge me fee, soon as I left my teeth came out. I ask refund and they refused me. The dentist lady is very arrogant and rude.

Basic. I think we are expected to be grateful that we can get access to an NHS dentist at all these days when in large parts of the country there are absolutely no NHS appointments available. But I'm guessing that the short appointment times paid for by the NHS keeps the service basic. I had a large composite filling done in a molar and there was little care taken. Of particular concern to me was that the dentist did not check that the new filling did not get in the way of flossing between that tooth and the ones behind and in front. My previous dentist (who has retired) always did this carefully. I had to ask this dentist to check this, and when she found it was impossible to floss at the front of the tooth, she scratched a bit with her dental tool which didn't help so she just said it was OK for an interdental brush. The result is I've been trying to scratch a gap with a pin and looking online to buy a kind of dentist's tape that can use to sand away at the composite - not my job but given that the dentist didn't do hers well, I don't see what else I can do. It is especially upsetting because this dentist is very keen on preventative dentistry - encouraging good cleaning, no sugary drinks - that sort of thing. So I would have hoped she would be keen to make flossing possible. The colour match of the filling is not good, and neither is the form. I have had some fillings done in the past with a ring around the tooth which helps create an accurate shape, but this was not done here. Sadly, I am guessing this is all probably pretty average for current NHS dental treatment, which is why there is a boom in private dental care- but a similar treatment would cost about £250 with a private dentist which is a lot. People are caught in the middle - NHS dentistry is so basic, private is so expensive. I would prefer not to go back to this dentist so I better start saving up now.
