I haven’t been happy with my experience at Parrock, but didn’t intend on leaving a bad review. But today after completing treatment several months ago I’ve had another negative, frustrating experience.
I have been attending this dental practice for three years for Invisalign treatment, and unfortunately my experience has been consistently disappointing. Throughout the course of my treatment, there have been several issues that have caused unnecessary stress and delays.
To start, my scan was lost partway through treatment, meaning I had to come back in for it to be redone. This delayed the next stage of my Invisalign process for reasons completely outside of my control. On another occasion, my appointment was cancelled ten minutes before it was due to start—while I was already on my way and only minutes from arriving. This has been part of an ongoing pattern, as almost every appointment I’ve attended has run behind schedule. My appointment was rebooked, only for them to call me a few minutes later saying they’d have to rebook again as they’d booked with the wrong person!
Communication has been a persistent problem. On one occasion, I was told I needed to book an appointment specifically to collect my retainers, which was difficult to arrange around work. However, when I arrived, I was told that an appointment wasn’t necessary and I could have simply picked them up—a frustrating waste of time.
More recently, my retainer broke within three months, so I requested a replacement under warranty. They completed a scan, but after weeks without any update, I had to contact them myself. Only then was I informed that the retainers had been sitting there for weeks and no one had called to let me know. I asked if they could be posted to me to avoid yet another unnecessary trip, and although they agreed, I was told I would have to pay £8 in postage, despite the inconvenience and communication failures being entirely on their side.
My treatment journey took so much longer than I’d expected, and took 4 rounds of aligners totalling 60+ sets of aligners. I knew that there’s a chance you won’t get a perfect result and will need to have another round of aligners, but this wasn’t made clear and at one point I felt like I was going round in circles and not getting anywhere.
If I could go back in time, I would have had my Invisalign treatment elsewhere.
