Rita, the hygienist is a real asset to the practice. So thorough and takes time to give you help and advice. She makes you feel at ease and very relaxed. Amazing! Thank you so much.

Pregnancy had left my teeth shot to pieces and I desperately needed the help of a dentist after I found that my usual surgery had taken me off their books and wouldn’t accept a maternity exemption certificate. I called Stevenage Dental Practice with little hope but asked for their help. Despite the fact they were at full capacity for NHS patients they took me on and offered me an appointment for two days time. The level of care, attention, advice and much-needed dental work I have received from the wonderful dentist George Bryan and his assistant Nurse Julia has been second to none. From the moment I walked into the practice I was made to feel welcome, listened to and prioritised. George not only replaced an ancient and unsightly silver filling with a perfect white one (which looks like a “real” tooth) but he identified a problematic wisdom tooth which had been bothering me for years. George made a referral for an extraction and - by some NHS miracle - it was carried out in less than two weeks. The entire process, and the aftercare provided by both George and Julia, has been absolutely faultless. I cannot praise this dental surgery enough. Every staff member has been a delight (in particular the receptionists who have become all too familiar with me!) and the care has been better than the private treatment I have received in the past despite the fact it was carried out under medical exemption.

I cannot thank Stevenage Dental Practice enough for the quality of care I have received since being their patient. I have had a recurring abscess on a tooth my previous dentist did root canal on. Dr Dinani has always amazing and looked after me and provided a prescription for anti-biotics to nip further pain and progression in the bud to which I am so grateful for. The practice staff have always been very accommodating getting me in swiftly with emergency appointments to prevent delay. I cant thank them more whole heartedly. Anyone who has suffered this level of pain will understand how agonising & debilitating it is and to know you have a great dentist and dental practice is so reassuring. So about 10 days ago when I could feel the signs of a new infection, Dr Dilani saw me the same day, prescribed ant-biotics, took x-rays and we made a plan for me to come back in for an extraction the following week when the infection was treated as we agreed a 2nd root canal would be risky and not guaranteed to work due to the previous work that had been done by my previous dentist and I was beside myself at the thought of this being an ongoing issue either way. On the 4th day of the being in absolute agony, I called the practice to explain the Anti-biotics were not working and was informed Dr Dinani was on a well deserved break and not available for 5 days. My Heart sank. However, they did say I could come in the next morning for an emergency appointment with another amazing Dentist Preena Shah. By this time a large abscess had appeared on my gum and I could not eat or sleep due to the pain and no painkillers were relieving the pressure I felt. I felt like I was cheating on Dr Dinani but knew i needed help. I was expecting a course of different pills and maybe for her to lance the abscess to see my through to my extraction appointment but to my surprise, she explained her next appointment had cancelled and after her initial inspection she would be happy to do the extraction there and then along with her equally amazing nurse Julia. She took the time to explain the things that could go wrong, the costs that were potentially involved and the scenarios that we may have ahead of us so that I could make a well informed decision. She also said she did not want to take over from Dr Dinani but did not want to leave me in pain for 5 days without offering her services. The decision was made to go ahead and try to extract the tooth and pray it came out in one piece to avoid surgery and further costs. What happened next was the most outstanding dentistry. I have no idea how this young petit dentist had the strength and expertise but she managed to do the full extraction in text book style with the best possible outcome. Julia, her nurse worked so well with her to remove all the infection at the same time and offer us both the level of support you could only wish for. The after care and advice was perfect and I have healed amazingly and feel like a new woman. This all happened at 10.30am last Friday and staff called me at 17.00pm to check up on me before they left for the weekend and make sure the bleeding had stopped and I knew what to do if any issues arose over the weekend. A level of service I have never experienced from any other practice and made me feel very blessed. I am pleased to say I have experienced no pain since the treatment and I am healing very nicely. I wanted to leave this review not only for others to see how lucky we are to have a practice like this in our local area but for the whole team at Stevenage Dental Practice to know how appreciated and fabulous they are. Keep up the great work!! Who would have thought having a tooth out could be such an positive experience worthy of this long review :-)

Let’s be honest — nobody wakes up thinking, “Ooh, I hope someone yanks a tooth out of my head today.” But if you have to go through it, like I did today Stevenage Dental Practice is the place to do it with dignity, calm, and surprisingly good vibes. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Charlotte and Jody at reception — who deserve a medal, a raise, and possibly their own fan club. Polite, Absolutely. Informative Like a walking dental encyclopedia. Charlotte made the whole check-in process feel less like a medical appointment and more like checking into a spa (minus the cucumber water). The practice itself is spotless — like, “you could eat your lunch off the floor” clean (though I wouldn’t recommend it post-extraction). Everything was clearly laid out, and the staff were so encouraging and professional. Now, I arrived with nerves jangling like a tambourine in a thunderstorm. Enter Suman — the calm in my dental storm. She didn’t just reassure me, she practically Jedi-mind-tricked my anxiety into submission. Warm, kind, and with the sort of soothing presence that makes you think, “Maybe this won’t be so bad after all.” And then came Dr. Mindy. What a legend. She talked me through the procedure with such clarity and kindness, I felt like I was being guided through a meditation rather than a tooth extraction. When the moment came, she removed the tooth with such finesse and calm, I barely noticed it had happened — I was waiting for the dramatic tug and instead got a gentle “all done!” like she’d just handed me a latte. Information: Everything was explained in plain English, no scary jargon or cryptic dentist-speak. Procedure & Aftercare: Smooth, professional, and surprisingly gentle. I left with clear instructions, a sense of relief, and a weird urge to write this review. If you’re dreading the dentist, Stevenage Dental Practice will change your mind — and possibly your molars. They treat you like a human, not just a set of teeth. And in a world of rushed appointments and clinical coldness, that’s something to smile about.

I have been with this practice for around 15 years. Dentist, Hygienist and staff have always given me a professional and courteous service. Thank you 12 Aug Recent visit for tooth extraction and partial fitting. Dr. Liyana and assistant Suman made it easy. Both caring and professional. Partial is a great fit, very comfortable. Thanks again!
