I found out on a dental visit that I had bone loss due to periodontal disease. I had moved to Cornwall from Essex just before lockdown so not having an NHS dentist in Cornwall and not having toothache I was totally unaware of the problem. My dentist advised seeing a hygienist or peridontal specialist and so I had several sessions to deal with deep pockets ranged from 3 to 8. The sessions improved some of the lower scores and cost about £900 but did not do anything for the ones between 6 and 8. So I was advised to see a specialist. I did some research and found Behrens duo lase treatment and read the reviews. I didn’t like the sound of the conventional treatment so gave Behrens a call and spoke to Mimi who was absolutely exceptional. We spoke on the phone for about an hour and she answered all of my questions, there as no hard sell just really helpful information about the disease and about the commitment required which was 2 initial cleans followed by 12 treatments which had to be at least weekly but after this there was a 99 percent chance that the pockets would reduce and the bacteria would be treated, then I’d need follow up 3 monthly cleans and if laser treatment is needed this would be done for free. This meant travelling from Cornwall once per week on a Saturday (as I work full time) for 3 months and now my pockets are normal . I did have one tooth removed and a bone graft for the worst back tooth but this was removed without any issues by Dr Lior Burg and was communicated by Dr Behren on my first visit, that it would need to go, so although I was a bit disappointed, it needed to be done to protect the other teeth. My laser treatments were mainly carried out by Sajina who is wonderful and really gentle, she did a great job. The treatment is at worst a little bit uncomfortable on the worst areas initially but each time it gets better and it is soooo worth it. They also offer numbing injections if you want them but after the first few sessions I didn’t need them. They take swabs for analysis before and after and the bad bacteria has gone! Although I didn’t have symptoms I had noticed my teeth had started to move and had put this down to aging but this has stopped and my mouth and teeth feel great. If you are thinking of having the treatment I would urge you to do it, it isn’t cheap but it’s a lot cheaper than losing your teeth and having implants. The team are great and you won’t regret it. Sometimes you have to take care of yourself. There are potentially other health risks to your heart and brain if it isn’t treated. Thank you Behrens Team x

Amazing experience and great results of treatment. Special thank you for Georgios, Sangeeta and the team, my gum pockets have healed and microbiological test didn’t detect any bad bacteria. This is a fantastic result considering that I went through similar treatment with another clinic before which didn’t make any impact. Wholistic approach and research based methods which Behrens used have worked very well and I would be more than happy to refer this clinic for everyone with similar problems

After being told by a periodontist that I had severe gum disease and was going to lose at least 6 teeth I decided to get a second opinion. I found the Behrens Clinic on line and inquired about Duo Lase after speaking to Mimi on reception for nearly an hour ( I was very upset at the time) she put my mind at rest and that they would do everything they could to help me . Sure enough within 3 months I am now sorted and haven’t lost my teeth . I am clear of the gum disease too. Cannot recommend the clinic and team high enough. Found the Behrens dental practice on a google search as I was looking for treatment for periodontal disease. I had seen they offered a laser treatment called Duo-lase for the periodontal treatment instead of traditional treatment and the results could be better at treating the disease. I’ve just completed the treatment and the disease is gone. My gums are the healthiest they have ever been and I am extremely happy with the results. The team are fantastic very warm and welcoming and it’s a nice feeling walking in to the practice. Special shoutout to Mimi reception who is super friendly and when the phones are not ringing off the hook is available for a chat. I don’t live in London and plan my visit with a stay at my sisters place and will continue to do that in future as the service is great

I want to thank the Behrens dental practice for my treatment for periodontal disease. My gums are now disease free and feel great. The whole team are extremely nice(special shout out to Mimi on reception who is always there for a talk). I have a dental practice I feel comfortable at and even though I travel from outside of London this will be my dental practice of choice in future. For those that want to fight periodontal disease effectively I especially recommend Behrens as the place to do it.
